What going on new to this but I just started my seedling well actual germinating of the seeds. I got a few blue dreams, gold leaf and purple haze. Bout the seeds from an online site that claims, they are fems, but question at what wattage should I start my seedling lights for my lamps I read 36 watts to start
Hey Scrape, welcome to Percys! Nice selection you have there.. To your question, what kind of light do you have to start them under right now?

Welcome to Percy’s mate. Glad you found us. As TempleGrower eluded to, the type of lamp matters in this answer. What will you be using for the grow?

i just start mine in a peat pellet on an indoor window ledge with a clear plastic cup over it (with small hole in the top) - never fails - move to tent/lights after the initial two "shitty leaves" (not sure of their tec name) sprout up and first nodes appear.
Take it easy.....BUT always take it
@scrapeg Hey man and welcome to Percys. I only joined here bout 4 months ago now in the same position as you with just basic equipment and a few seeds. Now im sat here smoking the finest weed ive smoked in years Ive learned so much from this forum and made some good friends so you've definitely come to the right place if youre looking to do the same.
I see youve got TS1000 in your tag so im assuming thats what light youre using. Ive got the SP250 which is very similar to the TS2000. If so I imagine you have the ability to dim yours? Going on my experience, I started my seedlings under 100% power but just adjusted how far I had the light away from them. You should of had somewhere in the instructions for your light what the recommended distance should be based on 100% power. I just started there and then lowered accordingly as the plant matured.
One thing I will say is that this was probably one of the 1st of many questions I had during my 1st grow and it really helped to have a grow diary running on here so I could post updates, pics and questions that the more experienced guys were able to help me out with so would definitely recommend you doing the same
@redeyejedi if it the light is dimmable, it means potentially you can save up on energy and costs, since you can always hang the lamp(s) closer to the canopy. At least that's something that I consider in the whole equation. Again, if the light is dimmable
