New Growers Newbie about

First off, have you found a decent place to grow? 

@macky hi mate big fan loving the pod and you guys. 
yes I believe so, quite and away from people. It has a natural barrier of brambles that creates a circle around but has a lot of sun as it has an open canopy. 

@droverdog Nice man sounds ideal mate! Its good to have a water source close to the grow spot so you don't have to bring it with you every time you visit. It's a good idea to dig some holes and fill them with good soil f the soil isn't good already

Also, itll be a good plant to start some of the seedlings indoors to let them grow up a bit before planting them outside. How many you thinking of growing and what strain? They gonna be autos or photos?

@droverdog Hey man, welcome.

Consider growing autos (not photos), they will hopefully be smaller and easier to hide, and you wont have to worry about a short growing season (short compared to other regions). 

And if you’re sure about your grow spot being absent of human traffic, throw a pound note on the ground to be sure (but make sure it can’t blow away).

@macky unfortunately there is no water source near, but I only live 5 mins away so if I have to do a couple of water runs a week it is doable. 
I have dug out a few holes of about 15 litres. I have made up a soil mix of fresh soil, farm yard manure, bone meal and slow release pellets (like chicken manure).
I might struggle a bit with starting them at home (mrs) doesn’t mind me having a bun but might have something to say about doing a grow   
could I not possibly plant straight into the ground.   

I plan on planting between 8-12 pending on how they germinate. I have 9 indica autos and 3 indica photos. I brought seeds that are good for out door in on the uk and said we’re mould resistant.

Most of what I have to plant is autos. Sound like a plan with the pound note might have to go drop 1 or 2 around there to make sure. I was also thinking of planting 1-2 photos and seee how they get on. 

@droverdog Welcome to Percys mate, you have a few options but to get the best out of them as Macky mentioned you should start them indoors where you can keep an eye on them and once established seedlings then take them and plant them outside, you can plant outside directly also if you cannot have seedlings in the house etc. The pound note trick is a great trick, i would also recommend doing a few plants away from the main crop, that way if someone stumbles upon your crop you have a backup, it is really common here in aus for guerilla growers to go back to a patch ready for harvest and finding nothing but leaves and holes in the ground.... so for us we like to sacrifice a few seeds as tribute if you will lol. The Guerilla Growing guide in the grow guides section of the forum has a whole bunch of tips and tricks that will help you plan your grow. Plenty of us here have also run guerilla grows at one time or another so any questions just shout

yes I do have another little spot a bit away that I was thinking of putting a few. I am definitely going to check the guid out asap. 
After all your advise on here  I think getting those seedlings established first would be best.

it’s so good to be able to talk to people openly who are also willing to help.
