hello to the forum,
My name is Bronc and I am new to herb in general as I have been behind the wheel of 18 wheelers most of my adult life. Due to the detrimental effects on my health I have retired from driving. Without the threat of random drug screens I have began to "partake" of the sticky icky and so far I am blown away by the benefits.
on the the downside of my newfound happy place is a distinct lack of "contacts". I have determined that the best route for a complete novice with a moderately green thumb is to grow my own, a friend who grows succulents recently upgraded to a full blown greenhouse and he gave me his marshydro tent, with LED lights and vent system. my girls are currently germinating, I'm having triplets of OG kush and very much looking forward to my new hobby!

thanks for the welcome monkeydo, believe me I have questions! a diary sounds like a great idea. I have one question about the board, and perhaps I just haven't delve deep enough in the content yet but it seems the majority of the posts are months if not a year or more old. Not that it matters much because there seems to be a wealth of info available and that is really what I need at the moment. however growing is not a subject I can converse about with my barber about, so I'm seeking community as much as I am useful knowledge.

They are all up to date thought mate and have been updated many times since they have been published 
ALl info should be good. I just don't have time to re write everything lol.

Well thats the no 1 rule of thumb taken care of 👍 no tell no smell & no sell < the biggest ways to get caught.
I can only imagine what it’s like on the joints bouncing up and down ouch as the years go by I would guess,I only drove a forklift for a few years and that done my knees in let alone a big 18 wheeler
I found the best way to learn was to buy a reputable book as well as learning in forums like this. Still it’s really not that hard once you understand the basics the books & forms help you refine what you learn by just doing it.

start a diary is a great thing to get helpful feedback and share your learning journey.. as many have already as can be seen in the diary sections.. great to see especially if youre growing something someone else alreasdy has etc..
we have regular competitions which members worldwide take part in, im about to post a load of prizes to 2 growers in the usa and another 2 in the uk.. the aussie boys have been out of luck of late it seems (@bubblehok only teasing bro 😉 )
anyway hope u enjoy growing your own.. its the best decision one can make imo

no doubt regarding the bouncing, I've been jostled enough for a lifetime! However my main reason for retiring is the lack of physical activity.
after a grand total of 4 heart stints because of 12 to 14 hours a day sitting in the seat followed closely by a DOT required 10 hour break little time is left to exercise. So now I have simplified my life and pick up handyman work to buy motorcycle parts and fund my new hobby!
