So after finally receiving the new 4x4 and 6 inch inline fan it dawned on me that I am still yet to organize lighting for this 4x4....
After some discussion with the wife regarding fiscal responsibility and purchase driven sleeping relocation(apparently we needed new bed sheets more than we needed a tent....first I heard on the subject....) I managed to convince her it would be irresponsible of me to not fill the 4x4 with some quality lighting, So whilst contemplating my self induced fate whilst kipping up on the sofa in the lounge room, I managed to nail down 2 potential suitors for the tent.
Option 1 : Spider Farmer SE7000 - Commercial 8 bar 730w (preferred option)
Option 2 : Mars Hydro FC8000 - Commercial 8 bar 800w (requires co2 supplementation at full tilt)
I really want to move away from the full board type SF type lights even though I will continue to run the bloomplus BP4000's in the 4x8 as they have been excellent lights for their price point and have produced some very nice yields, I really want to make this 4x4 my full tilt glory tent but I really don't know if I want to mess with co2 as I am a Percy grower that just wants the best bud possible I'm not out to win any high times cannabis cups....although that would be nice 🤣
From what I gather the SpiderFarmer kit is more than likely the better light for what I want and would more than cover the 4x4 for flower as it has a flower footprint of 5x5(commercial stats state 4x4 footprint for commercial operations with a max 5x5 footprint)
I have messed with co2 in the past but I just don't feel its necessary for a Percy grower and is just another expense that I could spend on something like uv supplementation etc (or bed sheets apparently...)
So all that said has anyone or is anyone running these collapsed suns? if so what are your thoughts on each? I looked into lumiteks and HLG but for what I'm wanting I feel the two options I nailed down are more suited for my needs.
Appreciate any experience you guys can share with these lights, at this stage I am really leaning towards the Spiderfarmer so unless there is something critically wrong with it that no one has mentioned on any of the reviews I have read it will probably win out, but considering the pricepoint is double that of the tent and extraction combined I guess I wanted some real life experiences from people I trust rather than paid reviews on ebay or youtube before I pull the trigger on it....
TIA and as always Happy Growing and Stay Frosty!!!!!

As a intro budget user, sf1000 and ts600, I honestly believe you will be happier with the spider farmer.
I know you aren't asking but check out migrolights by Shane, I think you'll be happier especially if you can afford such beautiful lights 😇
Love is all that matter, with it you can achieve anything.
@laughingdragon yeah only problem I have is I'm in Australia so certain lights cost way too much to ship. I have an sf4000 and an sf1000 and I love the quality of the spiderfarmer which is why I'm leaning more in that direction. Most likely I will be going for the spiderfarmer but you can't trust reviews on their websites because let's be honest they are trying to sell lights lol. Thanks for the input man appreciate it, I would love to go down the migrow route but I like being married and I would get way too carried away hahaha

@bubblehok haha a warm bed mate just nudges over a warm tent bait 🤣
I like the spectrum on the SF for sure, definitely fuller spectrum vs the other.
Realized your probably looking for someone to tell you why mars would be better 😆😎
Cheers bro!

If you search running 2 in a 4x4 you will find a review and par map. I can only compare them too a CMH315 and using the one worked better for me. I'm adding a second into a 3x4 flower tent for my next flower cycle.

I really don’t think you need CO2 in your grow space. To do it well you need a sealed room with full environmental control. The FC 8000 is a big light, not sure it will even fit in your 4x4 tent. I think you could easily light the whole tent at less cost and get great buds from the FC 6500 Mars Hydro light. Even the FC 4800 says it covers a 4x4 area and after using the FC 3000 in my 3x3 tent I would say they are correct. Good luck with your grow.
@lotsoftricomes Yeah mate, I would need 2 of those lights to properly flower out a 4x4 though and will cost more than one of the se7000. That's why I am looking at the bigger toys, I want a light that's big enough to cover the full 4x4 in flower and still give uniform light spread. I could throw my sf4000 in the tent but wanted to go the next level up.

@aussie_jim yeah I have probably looked at 100 different lights at this stage lol, and i think we are a bit spoilt for choice, but all said and done the SE7000 looks like the winner tbf. has everything I'm after and a proper 5 year warranty, plus the light spread is about as even as it gets so I decided I'm going to pull the trigger today, plus just talking with temple grower and he is more than happy with his se3000 so that's a good enough positive review for me lol. And yeah I have dabbled with C02 before but it just seems like unless you really want to run the higher temps the difference between the end result is minimal so I would rather spend money on other things than the c02.
