Strain:
Medium:
Coco with 15% perlite
this is a solo grow that will occur in any available space in either tent as needed
Lighting:
Mars Hydro SP150 x3 LED, ~400 watts available
Extraction:
Passive intake with 6 inch, 350cfm extraction into 6 inch iPower carbon filter
Pot Sizes:
60 ml glass bottle with hole in bottom
Nutrients:
Advanced Nutrients Sensi Coco line, GH cal/mag, Overdrive pk
Other Equipment:
Apera ph meter, Hone Forest tds meter, HydroFarmer PAR meter
Plan for the grow:
Train into a single main bud and hopefully keep it alive till harvest
Before this grow even starts I know it only has a 50% chance of success at best but this is something I’ve been curious about so here goes. The grow container is a used medicine bottle. To facilitate drainage a hole was ground into the bottom with a diamond wheel.
The bottle is loaded with the media and it’s ready for seed. Because of the odd container I’m deciding to germinate in paper towels and move into the bottle hoping to make an easier start up the bottle neck. Every part of this is grow is going to be tricky. Seed is soaking now after a mild scuff in sandpaper tube. The seed will go into paper towel tonight and hopefully within 48 hours will be in the mini container.
Will he grow anything at all or crash and burn..... stay tuned and find out.....

Right on time, the tap root showed itself this morning so into the media we go.
it’s too tiny of a space to actually photograph the planting but if you look into the bottle neck you can see the seed. It was slightly covered with coco and watered with a dropper. The bottle is in a tent under the canopy of a blooming Autoflower. Light par level is at about 95 presently.
She will stay in the lower light until the sprout stretches past the bottle neck. If she lives through this we will have something to work with 🤞

@grower-urban top watering for now and trust me, I’m making this stuff up as I go along. For the mug in coco I use 9x daily feed at low EC. That’s where I’m going to start and see what happens. If the glass bottle fails I have a plastic one ready to go.

True leaves now and she’s riding side-saddle on the mug grow. Right now she is on kelp and rhizo at low dose.
Just waiting on trichomes ripening with the mug and the Kush. Boring times right now just waiting.

One week in and everything is on track. My seedling is thriving so far with 3 fertigations per day. Soon it will be time to get her auto watering system sorted.
The scale of the seedling vs the bottle is stark. There’s not much to work with here lol

It will be similar to my mug watering contraption, small fountain pump, timer, tubing etc. I was trying to link my old post to this diary but it didn’t work.this is a static image of when I built the first one.
It works well
pump is in the bucket, it pumps liquid to the green bottle for 16 seconds and then gravity dispenses it slowly to the pot. It’s quite the contraption 😉

Crazy, hurricane weather. Lots of people have no place to call home tonight, but that’s not us. As crazy as it sounds, we know what needs to be done and we help our neighbors, everyone will be fine. When you are born in hurricane country you get your training very early. Rebuilding has already started in some places, it will take longer for some but damn stubborn southerners, it will be done, we don’t quit😉 Don’t listen to the hopelessness of the news, we got this bro.

Time to get the watering system sorted. 3x daily is just keeping up with needs right now but so far all is well and growth is accelerating. The root mass in the bottle is building fast.
