Hi all, I've just opened a jar of weed that I grew last year. I noticed a sticky dampness on the seal of the mason jar (but not inside the jar) and also noticed that once ground down the weed stays in a bit clumpy if I move it round in it's new container. I broke a different bud in half and took this pic. Can you tell if that's mold on the stem?

@macky It's royal crematic auto so doesn't smell strong at all. It's hard to describe, maybe a little earthy? I've read moldy weed smells sweet like cut grass or like a wet towel that's been left on the floor for a few days. Is that right because it definitely doesn't have that smell. I just got concerned with the slight dampness under the jar seal.
Also, I just rubbed my fingers over the stem with the white hairs. Nothing powdery came off and hairs are still there. Would I be right to assume that mold or mildew would rub off?
@james40 Yes midlew would rub off. Maybe its just extra frosty there lol

@discobiscuitt Thanks for the help. It's from last years grow so would explain the old look. It's not bud rot (I've had that before so know what that's like) and there's no webbing on the surface, only these hairs inside the buds on the stems. There's a faint earthy smell and definitely no mustiness. I'll give it a go later.
