So the inevitable powdery mildew has struck again....little whiteish grayish fuzzy patch of doom.....its over my crop is lost. Lol that's what I thought last year. I almost panicked and thought the worst. It's a terrible feeling to think that what you've worked so hard to grow....will be lost and ruined.
So I figured I'd share my experience last year to help prevent anyone from feeling that terribly sad shitty feeling that your crop is lost to this annoying little shit head fungus.....because its not. And @monkeydo sent me a nice little peice of information too about your new best friend- potassium bicarbonate.
First....breathe.....itll be ok....your crop can be saved lol.
Second.....1tsp potassium bicarbonate per L of water or 4tsp per Gal. Mix that little cocktail up of fuck you fungus and get ready to kick that little fuzz in the dink...this bitch is going down!
If your plants are in vegetation then you can spray the leaves and area and KILL the fungus....just kill it dead.
If your plants are flowering then you can use a small paint brush and brush it on the leaves because the flowers may be affected.
Harvest time-H202 bath
Jorge Cervantes uses a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water to wash the buds and get any little spores or bad mildew off the buds when you harvest them. The mixture he uses is 200-250ml (6-8oz) of 3% hydrogen peroxide in a bucket of about 4-5gallons (16-20 litres) of normal regular tap water. You add the hydrogen peroxide in the tub or bin and mix it with the water. He uses a nozzle on a hose that helps to mix the water better like a shower setting on your garden hose. Then put your buds in the water and be careful to not touch the sides with the buds and gently shake them and wash them off. Be careful of the trichomes as to not touch them on the bucket wall....the water wont wash them off but touching them can cause them to fall off....so be careful and gentle. Definitely give it a watch and see how the master does it to get a good idea of the process.
That's it....hang your buds in an open area with a fan on them to dry off the water and then proceed to your normal drying procedure once the buds are no longer wet.
@colacody thanks for sharing brother, have some PM on the one peyotee cookies. I've been battling it with my LABS ( Lactobacillus bacteria) works but not winning. Definitely bud washing harvest time this year

So in my endless research to find the best way to combat this cunt of a fungus....I've forgotten to mention the spray that you CAN use while flowering and isn't harmful like potassium bicarbonate CAN be....not that it is but as is with out precious little green babies we like to have the best for them. Anyways....on to the shit!
Hydrogine peroxide as mentioned above and used in a bath by Jorge Cervantes.....is literally almost water. But yet....it kills the mildew as well AND you can spray it on the buds! So the above recipe with 240ml of 3%hydrogen peroxide and 5 gallons of water (20L) can be made smaller and used to spray the plants without any bad side effects to the buds!!! Fantastic!
My recipe under trial currently is 50ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide with 4L of water. Mix up that little fuck you fungus mixture in a plant sprayer and spray the affected area and really the entire plant...this will kill any spores and the fungus apparently....I've watched a few videos....Jorge Cervantes does it and I'm sure other top shelf cannabis gurus do it for their crops too.
I did a test patch to see what would happen on some lower buds and leaves.....and they look just like it rained. I hope this helps Percy growers and remember....a little bit of fungus isn't the end all for your crop so DONT PANIC.....because I did panic and it's a shitty feeling.
