Over the years I have really drifted away from a lot of the mainstream Hollywood entertainment, largely due to the emphasis put on special effects, not storyline, on appearance and not plot. Well, not knowing that last night was going to be the Oscars (that's how out of touch with some popular media I am), the significant other and I watched Everyting Everywhere All At Once.I gotta tell you if you have not seen it, it is the best mind-bending and strangely comedic and empowering movie ever. It is PERFECT for watching while under the influence... with your favorite munchies, of course. I highly recommend it.
It was just pure coincidence that when the movies ended for us last night, the Academy Awards were on and we watched this film sweep the Oscars.

We watched it several months ago. I’m not certain I’d give it the award, but like Sparky said, it is an original idea. In these days of heavy re-makes of most major films, it was nice to see a completely original idea being used. The Mrs loved it, I wasn’t as enthusiastic about it as she was but I still thought it was definitely worth the time. Just be prepared for a very wild story. The right “trippy” weed or light dose of shrooms would enhance it imo. We went the weed route (of course)
