This idea started years ago when the Mrs and myself started making a list of groups we’ve seen in concert. My kids couldn’t believe this is how it was back in the day. For fun let’s start a thread on live concerts. First, most memorable, most epic, must see, historical, never again, ridiculous, wtf..... It’s just about the show. Just wondering how much rock and roll history is here within Percy’s members. What you got Percy’s?

for a start, Heart 1984 at the worlds fair in New Orleans. Great show, decent weed

Led Zeppelin O2 London 2007.

Not my favourite band tbh, but tickets were as rare as hens teeth. My brother applied for them and won. Only time I've had to go to the venue the day before and have an ID band and stamp in order to get in the following day.

Time to grow old disgracefully.

Good thread buddy 👍,  twas 1989 and a local centre used to have live groups every fortnight , being in the back of beyond they were not famous , catatonia , stereophonics were regulars under different names , but a Manchester band played , supposedly 4 songs , na 2 hrs later mates , the Happy Mondays ! They needed belly ache and thrills and us woolies gave it them , loved them ever since

Sucking ⛽

Agreed Woolie, great thread ... thanks Monkey 👍

Ok so I guess this was my first big concert.. Thinking at the time this could be the last time the said band would tour (now probably the oldest rockers still going strong!!) It was of course the one and only Rolling Stones...

1989 I believe was the year, I was 14, I went with my older mates aged mostly 16 and some of our local friendly biker gang (who we’d buy our hash from in those days👌). It was the opening night at Wembley Stadium of the ‘Urban Jungle’ tour. 70,000 in attendance. Queued for 8hours and got close to the front. Epic night. Can’t rate highly enough

Time to pop some more beans 😗

I'm sure they've cloned the Rolling Stones now. They'll be performing well past 2050 😂

Wow, I've seen so many shows it's hard to pick one. I've seen Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, The Who, The Eagles, Joe Walsh, AC/DC, Lenny Kravitz, John Fogerty, David Bowie,Lynyrd Skynyrd, Grateful Dead, Both Jefferson Airplane and Starship, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Bob Seger, Santana, ZZ Top, Genesis, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Frank Zappa, Allman Brothers, Jethro Tull, Foreigner, Deep Purple, Neil Young, Steve Miller, Stray Cats and Doobie Brothers. I could go on for quite a while and then I could start on Country Music, Motown, Soul, Disco, etc. My job, I used to get a lot of comp tickets but now it far and in between.

I saw Fleetwood Mac 2 years ago and it was soooo good! There's now a New Zealander in the band as well which is cool and they performed one of his songs too Smile I saw Prophets of Rage 4 years ago which is basically Rage Against the Machine with B-real from Cypress Hill and Chuck D from Public Enemy

I've seen some good hip hop concerts too:

Mobb Deep

Ghostface Killah

Xzibit

50 Cent

Guru (Gangstarr)

Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa

I’ve seen too many bands to list, but the band I’ve seen the most is Maiden. Whenever they tour the Mrs. & I travel to new places to see them. A good excuse for a mini vacation and explore.
