@chillbert It's Charlie that died, I think Mick is still with us. Charlie might have been older but I still dont know how Keith managed to out live him.

Legs was the first song I heard by them, and Rough Boy, I remember seeing them on top of the pops, Think I would been about 8 or 9 then maybe. Legs, Crazy nights by kiss, Hot in the city by Billy Idol, Nothings gonna stop us now by starship and Walk of life by Dire straits were the first massive songs for me back then when I was starting to get into music, I played them over and over on my personal stereo on the school bus, it was just recorded onto a blank cassette from the tv, so it was shit quality and had someone speaking over the beginning and end of the songs, times were hard back then

@Stootie I was fortunate to catch a live performance in 1976 (showing my age now) and I can say they were exactly what you would expect. The stage was very sparse and the show was just about the music, that loud really thick ZZ Top sound. This was before the real grungy beard phase for these guys so it was long ago. I do have to admit that the gimmicks they came up with later were pretty epic tho. Hipster beards, furry guitars, guitars on swivels… just fun stuff you wouldn’t expect.
