Hey guys. I'm from Ontario and have my first 2 plants almost at an end here.....last push for flowers. Gorilla glue in a 7 gal pot and a durban poison in a 35 gal fabric pot. I've had a tough time with the gorilla.....made some banana tea that was too strong and gave it potassium overdose and then split the stalk at the Y joint near the bottom....fixed it up and got super thrive for her and she is doing alright again. The pot is too small and it was root bound but I stabbed the soil to help airate it and it worked aswell as untying it from the LST I was doing. I've tied the durban out now and that one is doing great....maybe 2 weeks into flower....she's a late bloomer but looking very nice so far....however the claw tips are twisted at the very tip....any idea what that is??

Nice to be here and hopefully learn a lot more.....1st time and totally in love with the hobby!

Welcome to the grow room Cody!

root bound? In pots that size?? Pics or it didnt happen 😉

Usually, when leaves claw, it means too much nitrogen, which will also fit with a plant going from veg into flower, as they will use less nitrogen. Picks would really help come up with a diagnosis mate 🙂

Good to have you mate, best hobby in the world, you've found the right place 🙂 We all this this game

Hey welcome to Percy's! Also from Ontario here 🤙

I have a gorilla glue outside and it is the roughest looking out of them all, I wonder maybe is it a sensitive strain?

Durbon is some.of my favourite! Can't wait to see some pics

Happy growing!🇨🇦🌱

Welcome to Percys brother @colacody

We've got members from all around the world and they are the friendliest and most helpful people I've ever met online on any forum.

Other forums in my experience are a breeding ground for negative and hateful comments towards new growers or those seeking to expand their growing horizons but Percys m8 is the exact opposite of that, I'm not a new grower anymore but I recently was and I definitely still have a lot to learn, The friendly people here at percys and the amazing admin staff helped me with my degenerate questions every single step of the way, I never would have gotten to my current confidence level without these amazing people.

I'm currently doing my second grow which you can find under "soil diaries" in the forum if you want to check it out and join in on the journey and there are a few other diaries going from some of our more experienced members which you should also check out.

Wether or not you grow indoors, outdoors, organic or hydro you will easily receive reliable information from people that have been doing the same thing as you for a long  time.

Those plants you mentioned sound really cool, I'd love to see some pictures of your beautiful girls, so feel free to make a thread for them if you'd like. Nothing we here at percys love more than to see pictures of each others grows.

Much love brother and I'll see you around the forum!!!

@colacody

stretchy is when the branches are long keeping them short give fatter flowers 😉

Mainlining is a training technique, also called manifolding. You cut bit off the plant in certain place on tie the branches down to make i grow a certain way. Great way to grow, but IMO when growing outdoors, training and a lot of defoliation isn't necessary. Just top once outdoors and you're good for the whole grow 🙂

Do you grow indoors too cody?

Not yet but I'm planning too in the future. Have some house stuff to do first to keep the old lady happy lol.

I'm going to start with a 2x2 LED setup.

Question.....with a small tent like that would a small 6inch clip on fan be enough? Or is an exhaust a MUST do. My uncle laughed at me and said it's way over kill for an OP that small.

That fan will be fine mate, good to keep the air moving around. But you will need extraction for it, 4inch will do for a tent that size. You need to be able to pull the old air out, and bring new air in, regardless of the size of the grow room 😉

Dont listen to your uncle in regards to growing, come here lol

I thought so for sure. They need air like us to breathe. I'm looking at AC Infinity cloudline S4. APPARENTLY it is super quiet and energy efficient.

The light I'm looking at getting is an LED Tonic Z2. Apparently made for growers by growers and is also energy efficient but puts out good light penetration. And its affordable.

Welcome man, another Canuck...excellent. SK guy here. 🖐️

As per your LED thoughts, I am currently looking at MarsHydro's new TS1000 - looks like a beast and not expensive! I've run their Mars II 1600 as well as the Reflector 144 with excellent results but, they still generate quite a bit of heat and pull a lot of wattage, and are heavy AF. The new ones look promising!

I'm using the philizon cob 1000w. Just harvested first grow with it. Bud looks juicy

Its 211 CAD, pulls around 240w actual pull. Might be a biit strong for a 2x2 but my 3x3 houses it nicely

Read a lot of product reviews and customer comments for pretty much all the lights on amazon. I found this to be the best bang for the buck. Doesn't get very hot at all and does both white/yellow and blue and red. This was before the new mars hydro line up came out though.  Hope this helps!

Sounds pretty good. Mars hydro is some nice stuff too I've heard. What are the things to look for with an LED light as far as specs are.

And what's CAD? I googled and it said computer aided design....

CAD = in canadian dollars

The LED unit is $211 canadian

Hmm for LEDs I think the safest bet is to go with most trusted/purchased. There are so many brands out there now. After the mars hydro and philizon series you get into quantum boards where the price skyrockets . Find one that has both red/blue and white/yellow light

If you find one that catches your attention I suggest watching as many YouTube vids or product reviews you can. Comments on amazon are helpful to
