Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! My newest project was trying out
out some bubble hash. This was my third attempt. Using my outdoor GG#4 and the cool Canadian winter, I ran 300g (220/190, 90, 73,45) and ended up with an oz of 90u. I also realized this round that I can grind it frozen in my coffee grinder (vs cheese grater) to dry it out.
Still lots to learn but Im loving the results. How long do you guys dry for? Any post processing like pressing? Curious to hear about others' system)
Why is the formatting so wonky like that?
I personally roll the gotten hash to a ball - doing this takes away some water.
Drying time is different as it comes to air humidity and temp.
Rolling a ball ensures that you have a as minimal as possible surface.
Hash can be aged like wine - no Oxygen and dark at constant temp.
Oxygen and light are reducing the THC.
Plants are like children - always surprising you.
to dry I press mine in the mini screen provided with the bubble bags folded over between some paper towel and press to help absorb excess water. Then drying takes a week usually (smokable) but leave for 1 month or more (2-3 is 👌) and your hash will crumble beautifully.. I personally find the bubble hash too strong for my liking so I’ve recently switched to dry sieving and pressing old school style.. more impurities (organic plant matter) and not so strong on the throat when smoked.. but lovely all the same
