@consume808 Welcome to Percy’s mate. There are a few autos that would be easy for a beginner. I’d recommend Northern Lights Auto or White Widow Auto. Both are easy to grow. A seed bank recommendation would be either The Vault or Seedsman, I’ve used both personally. The Vault offers a 15% discount to Percy’s members too and Seedsman offers 10% discount to Percy’s members. As far as seed breeders, everyone has their favorite. I grow a lot of Barney’s Farm seeds it seems. I’ve also had lots of good luck from Royal Queen Seeds, Dutch Passion, Sensi Seeds, and Seedsman(their own brand). I hope some of this helps. I know you will get lots of recommendations, everyone has a fav.

Welcome to Percys Consume808, best site out there. You have chosen........wisely. Barney’s Farm, Canuk Seeds are 2 of my favourite. White widow auto from anywhere a good start though. Good luck with your choice, whatever it is these folks at Percys will guide you along to a happy 1st grow.

Welcome man. Literally just ordered from the Vault THIS MORNING. Lol. They're great - lotsa free seeds too!

Monkey has some nice recommends tho - I love Sensi and Dutch Passion myself. I've also had good luck with Paradise's Gear, and have heard good things about Fastbuds.

As for cultivars, Critical comes to mind for some reason. I have a version of it that is very easy to grow.. unfortunately I don't know who the breeder was. Fastbuds does do a version though.

Welcome mate, welcome. Percy is a great community being here around 2 months. It's a great gang here.

Soil? Coco? Hydro?
Syntehtics? Organic grow?
How big a tent?
What are your expectations?

Tell us more!

Agree with my fellow growers, Northern Lights and White Widow are great cultivars for beginenrs.

Personally I would recommend for a beginner to start growing in soil, since it's very forgiving of the mistakes you definitively will make.

Happy growing and good smokes to you! Bongin

@consume808 hi man and welcome to our community 🙂 I personally would get a good soil, and would go with Dutch Passion for my seeds, auto flowering would be a great start I think, u can get your Dutch Passion seeds from seedsman, and also DP direct . Believe it or not u can get your DP seeds cheaper from seedsman😉 They do a lot of excellent strains but for me advising u and only one choice, orange Bud auto from Dutch passion is a cracker to start consume808👍

@consume808 a question on a good media to grow in will have lots of different answers depending on many factors. I run coco coir with 30% perlite and I love it. Yields can be sky high but it does require daily watering and you must use nutrients every time because coco has no nutrients. For me the high yield productivity and ease to fix things were the determining factors.

@consume808 Welcome to Percys

My favorite soil and nutrients for a simple soil grow is Fox Farms ocean forest soil and Fox Farms Trio nutrients + Calmagic all used at 1/2 strength.

Their are many great strains from different breeders that are easy to grow, Seedsman seeds has a selection for beginners to choose

https://www.seedsman.com/en/cannabis-seeds/cultivation/great-for-beginners

Sativa to change the things I can, Indica to accept the things I can’t.

@lovetoflyfish

good soil ?

I love growing in soil and @monkeydo loves coco

IMO you can get the same quality/yield from both and looking around on different websits you will see some strong views

The end of the day it's up to you, I don't like grow shops(nothing wrong with them but don't like people seeing me using them too often)

don't think you can over water a plant in coco but you have to feed the plant every time you water and keep the water ph in range 5.8 (I think )and keep a close eye on the ec level as you feed the plant.

with a good soil mix you can use tap water all the way to harvest but it's easy to over water the plant ( can kill the plant if done too often)

soil is the cheaper way to go by far.

you need to sieve the soil and add sand imo to get the best qualty soil mix for the roots and use a good quality soil (high in peatmoss).
