Hi all, new member here. Heard about this place on the Growing With My Fellow Lads podcast and decided to see whats up. Been raising my own for about a year and a half with 4 runs finished. Currently running White Widow and Northern Lights. Having no experience with Northern Lights I have a question. Week 4 of flower and I'm seeing what looks like cal-mag problems but only on the upper most fan and sugar leaves, everything below ttop looks perfect. Media is coco, nutes are Advanced Nutrients Coco, cal-mag is GH, bloom enhancer is big bud, EC is 1.4, lights on temp is 21 to 23, lights are mars SP150, PAR reading at top of canopy is 675 - 850. The White Widow next to it is showing no stress at all. I'm of the mind to ignore this as normal but thought someone might have some better information on the strain and help me learn how to best finish this one. Ideas, opinions, questions, or whatever is welcome and encouraged. Thanks in advance. Grower Love

Welcome Monkey, nice to have you. A very nice specimen you have there... and I'd say you're correct in your assessment, looks like Ca-Mg issues to my eyes as well. I've never run NL myself so I can't speak to it's ease (or not) of growing, and I'm a supersoil guy so, coco isn't exactly my forte either. Seems like your grow specs are pretty spot on so.. yeah. I'm sure that wasn't helpful but... ?.

Thanks. I recently finished a run with White Rhino which I believe is a close cousin to NL and it also had cal-mag demands in flower. It finished just fine so this one most probably will too. I just haven’t seen a strain to have issues only on the upper most canopy but my I have limited experience too. The other possibility I considered was light burn and that’s why I asked but as the White Widow looks perfect... someone with more experience might know better. Peace and Grower Love! ???

I would agree with the cal/mag def mate.
White widow is a strain that doesn't eat a lot, so she would show less deficiency than other strains. Id say giving them a top up with cal/mag, just for a feed or two, should fix the problem
