Welcome to Percy's Joe cant wait to see your DWC system , I had looked at guy on YouTube that had used pi to build a measurement and dosage system for his plants pretty interesting, but it looked a bit over my brains capacity to learn how to build it and program it i feel lol

@schroomy haha, Im with you, I want to keep it as simple as possible too. It can get overcomplex very quickly... and not always worth it. For example, at the beginning I had hook up a Ph meter on a esp8266. I had a website that was showing ph history, and alert pushed if out of range... Very.... useless. It turn out to be a water level monitoring (when water level was below the sensor tip, it trigger).
Now I keep it simple, independent bucket with float switch and I test ph manually when the plant show sign of imbalance.
