Right, this guy signed up, and he is a legend that I want to make sure gets a good welcome here!
Let me explain why!
You all know of our Podcast, High on Home Grown ( on tomorrow BTW 😉 ). Well, we came to set up the social networks once we realised the show was going to do well. We set up the FB page, email, youtube, but when we came to instagram, we noticed the name was already taken!
I thought we will just have to deal with it and move on, so we did.
Last week, we started streaming to Twitch, but we noticed that the name High on Home Grown was also already taken, by the same guy who had the insta account too.
If you have been around a while, you know what I am like, I needed to have these URLS! People need to find us easily just by searching for high on home grown. But they were already taken!
I thought for a while, and thought the best way to go around this, was to try and contact the owner. So, I messaged him on instagram.
I waited a few days and had no reply, so then tried on Twitch, but also had no luck. I wasnt sure if the accounts were no being used any more or not. Maybe my message went to the not so important folder or some shit.
Luckily, he eventually got back to me, but unfortunately, was not up for deleting the accounts, as he liked the name.
I explained about what we do here, or community, and the podcast. I asked him to come and check us out, and think about it.
Right now we get to the end lol
So today, I had a message from a new member " Home Grown Green", saying this:
"Hello,
This is the guy that has the HighOnHomeGrown Twitch name and instagram name. I think I'm going to be alright with giving up the accounts. You guys seem to have an awesome thing going and I think your use of the names will benefit more home growers like myself"
What a fucking legend!
So now we have the high on home grown Instagram Account, and also, high on home grown on twitch! ( please follow us ;)) lol
And this all all thanks to our new member, who gave up his accounts for us! I really appreciate this gesture from him, itwill make a big difference.
I just wanted to let you all know the sacrifice he made, and made sure he got a good welcome here
