@templegrower hey man I never got the fish poop but the plant is still alive. The new growth is very nice looking but the plant hasn’t grown much in size, all the leaves went small and yellow but it has been looking better the last week. I will upload a picture as well. Should I still use the fish poop or is it to late in flower? Also, what do you use to check the buds to tell when it’s ready to be harvested?

@lowegrow daaaayyyyyummmm. That looks WAY better than it did man. I dont wanna over step TG on the fish goop advice but to tell when the plant is ready...get a 100x jeweler's loupe and the trichomes should be milky and some turning amber. When they turn amber that is the beginning of decomposition of the trichomes meaning they are fully ripened....and your fruits of your labour are ready to pick. You DONT want to have A LOT OF AMBER tho.   About 10% amber  usually means the rest are milky and ready....but to see this you need a jeweler's loupe at 100x magnification. Also....she may be ready to just be on PH adjusted water now....but given it's a super soil.....not sure if the flush is totally required. Most guys always flush with just water at the end. I've also heard of people leaving them to dry out completely to avoid bud rot and excess moisture but best thing is check out the guides section of Percy's about harvesting. Your going to learn quite a bit and any questions....we are always here to help!🙂

Hope this helps but shes looking millions better man!

@colacody do you think I should do the fish poop? I guess I’ll order one online. Do you have any recommendations for the 100x magnifying glass? I got one with my grow kit but I can’t really see anything up close with it. Idk if it’s not to the right strength or what. It’s been alive about 9 weeks total I believe so I guess I would still have a couple more weeks left right? Sorry first time grower here with lots of questions lol

How many weeks into flower are you now? Reading about WW's typical auto flower time, I'd wager you still have about 2-3 weeks to go.. I usually stop adding anything to the water at about 2 weeks left in flower so, might not be worth adding in the fish emulsion now. It's not fish shit either by the way - it's actually ground and liquified fish carcasses. 🙃 Even better lol.

I'd just continue on with the water now, the bone meal should still be leaching slowly into the medium so, should be good.

For a loupe, at least 40x magnification is what you want. I like the USB scopes you can plug into your phone/computer. Takes a little bit to get the hang of holding steady but, they work well.

@colacody is on point though - watch those trichs!

And no apologies necessary mang! Gotta ask the question to get an answer. And no one here will make you feel shitty... we're all in this together, learning as we go so.. 🤠.

@lowegrow ya I would probably go with TG on here aswell and say just do the water at this point too. Do upload pics of the progress so far too and we can get an idea of where shes at right now.

I use a loupe that clamps to my phone over the camera and I can snap pics like that. Was cheap but still works. I have a 40x and wish I had the 100x so do some research on the size and see what you prefer.

And ya as TG said no worries about questions man....ask as many as you need to. We are here to help you and ourselves become better growers....that's just the Percy's way man! I've had to start somewhere just as everyone else and yourself....so we are happy to help when we can!🙂

@templegrower I think I’m 5 weeks into flower, maybe slightly more. I am going to put up some pics for you to check out. The new growth buds are looking really good and healthy and the others are growing but not as well as the new growth. If I do another plant soon can you guide me the whole way through? Hahaha or could I do like a daily blog that you could check so I don’t run into an issue again lol

Aw man, I'm glad things have turned around for you. That second pic looks very nice and green. It's probably too late for the majority of those yellow leaves but, hopefully the new stuff will be nice and resinous. You can probably remove the leaves that are all crusty and dead - they're not doing anything positive for the plant anymore anyways so.. if you tug lightly at the stems, they may even just pop off super easily.

As for guiding you through a grow, I don't think I would be able to commit all the time needed for that, one on one like, however, you can definitely run a daily blog (aka a diary) that I will try to check as often as I can. And, in a diary, it will be available for all of us to see as well so, what I might not know (and that's a lot, lol), someone else probably will.

If you're at all able, I'd suggest making some of my supersoil.. it's all I ever use and unless something is really off, I rarely run into issues. Boring grows are the best grows. 😉

@templegrower totally interested in your super soil! Is there a way to get a smaller version of it since I won’t need to make a kids pool full of soil lol also, it seems like my plant is sucking up water like crazy. I’m going based off how heavy it feels and when I water I give it a good watering every time. It gets pretty heavy once I’ve watered it. Then a couple days later it feels super light. Is that normal for a plant this late in the process?

@lowegrow

Yep, you should just be able to scale the amounts down to whatever you need. Like where it calls for 6 cups bonemeal, try using 3 (6/2=3), and then cut everything else by 1/2 the amount too. You just need to keep the proportions of each ingredient the same, and make sure it's mixed up properly.

I will say that the more soil that you can make at once (and keep properly mixed), the better. Smaller amounts will naturally have less microbial activity just because there is less soil, and so less microbes. Having less microbes may increase the 'cooking' time but I've never made less than what's in my recipe so, I can't really say what the 'minimum' amount would be. There may not be a minimum at all lol - I just don't know. 🙂

And yes, bigger plants that are busy making dank buds will drink a lot of water. Pretty normal I'd say. And, if its very warm where you are, or have a fan blowing right over the soil surface, that can dry it out even quicker.
