Hi all, this is my first grow.
Medium coco
Strain pineapple express auto (freebie with purchase and thought practice on this for first run)
Fabric pot started in 2 gallon, transplanted to 5 gallon.
Popped 26 Jan 2021.
Nutrients grow A,B (medtek), Epsom salts, dolomite lime, bloom A,B (Cyco), ryzo fuel (cyco)
To date have topped after 3 weeks, LST, currently in pre flower stretch week 5.5.
Lights- T5, migro 100+cob
Started under T5 for first 2 weeks 100wt, then to cob at 30% and have raised it over time to 100wt of 119wt Max.
pH water after additives around 5.8 to 6.2, gradually varying up and down.
Nutrients started around .25ec, increasing up to .7 over last 5 weeks. Run off has been below input ec by up to .3ec. Added some dolomite lime to coco and scratched in around week 4 and applied some foliar Epsom salt spray.
In picks it seems like an excess (phosphorus??). I flushed yesterday and applied a .5ec dose of bloom nuts as it seems to be prepping for flower. But am I just making it worse as bloom will have a higher p and k than grow nuts? Other issue is ec out is well below ec in, which would indicate a deficiency based on what I've read on guides here.
Loving all the info available but as a first grow it's difficult to be sure and what to do.
As it's just going into flower shortly I critically don't want to screw up this set up phase.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Have the appearance of the leaves changed in anyway recently?
You might want to just check the underside of the leaves for uninvited guests, just to double check.
I learned the hard way that spider mites in particular can go undetected, especially in the early stages.
It's probably not, but I don't mind admitting they caught me unawares !
Hey bud not shure if you used filter but the leaves look kind of light green to me ....also the red stems tells me you need more magnesium
the bugs that look like they leave spit are thrips
The top of a leaf being wet occasionally when the lights first come back on is normal. Plants transpire water as part of the photosynthesis process. That is why good airflow is vital to prevent mildew. It is also why you never want leaves to be touching each other.
How far away from the canopy is your light? The yellow tips may be a sign of light stress if no other signs of deficiency are happening. If the yellow tips are only on the top leaves it would also make sense.
