hey guys, it hasn't really been doing much, although I must say the thing is covered in hairs top to bottom.
I tried twice to clone an auto. The auto clock in the plant starts as soon as it germinates. To me that means it will bud in x days no mater what the light cycle is. When you cut a clone it will not develop to a bush it will bud in the same x days as mom. My first clone was very small because I cut it late. The next I cut when the mother was Young. The clone was short with one med bud. It was a waste of my time.
Hey mate, hope your enjoying this experiment. I have also been down this road and would like to share observations.
While the clock has started for flower, one of the things I have noticed is that there is also a delay, a pause in that time if you will, while the plant recovers and roots. Im my experience its usually been 2-3 weeks. Some folks make it sound like they will all be harvested at the same time but that is not the case. I have also had one reveg considerably before flowering but I have no idea how or why. I have also seen folks clone up to 7 generations from the one auto.
While this does not help you grow big plants from clone over and over again, it does allow you to grow small plants for breeding. I do this to make my own autoflower seeds from time to time. If you time things right you can easily breed your own autos and get hundreds of seeds out of that cute little bud.
Its not black and white, and there is a lot nobody knows about how it works.
I am planning a seed run with this method shortly, you can set yourself up for years of autos with a few solo cups.
cheers
How's your autoflower experiment going? Any updates?
here are some more pictures.
I think it's looking pretty darn good for being a cloned auto. Super interesting!
Hello Everyone,
I'm gonna harvest the clone in a week or so, maybe less as I'm starting to see some amber trichomes thoughout the middle of the Christmas tree. We had a major rainstorm about a week ago and the leaves turned a bit crispy for some reason. Maybe too many of the dry slow release nutrients dissolved? She liked the supersoil but it was probably too much nitrogen for her. Overall it's pretty cool bud stick and I'm surprised it worked. I read somewhere to clone an auto you have to take it at precisely the right time, I did it when I started to see pistles. The other auto clone I tried from another plant didn't end up working.
I smoked some of the mother plant and I have more than enough white widow to last me several lifetimes. I'm thinking maybe I'll try making hash out of this clone along with the trimmings I've been saving from my other plants.
What do you guys do with all your weed once you start growing? I've got so much I can give away more than I smoke in 6 months and still have more than I know what to do with =D
She's been harvested. She lived about three weeks longer than the mother plant. Here is some photos of her right before I chopped her. I think I'll make hash out of it seeing as I've never done that before and I have flower coming out of my ears at the moment.
