New Growers Starting week 2 need help with nutrients.

@silentbutdeadly224 hey mate, congrats on getting a grow going. Being your in coco I'm assuming you have an ec pen and a ph pen, these will be your best friends from here on out. 

I usually start with a very low dose of nutrients from the moment they pop out of the ground being that coco has 0 nutrients. If using rain water you should get almost 0ec with nothing added. I will add calmag, part 1 and part 2 (or a+b being your using canna) at 5ml each into 10L of water, this should get you around 0.2-0.25ec, assuming your starting water has a near 0ec. This ensures you have enough nutrient for their early life stage and enough calmag to offset the loss via the coco leeching it to fill the exchange sites. 

You then want to use roughly a tablespoon at the stem of the plant then move out an inch from the seedling and wet down the rest of the coco until you get about 10% runoff. At this stage you will find depending on pot size and the environment you have that may be as little as 1L or as much as 2-3L, at this stage you will only need to do this once per day. As your plants grow they will want increased feed amounts and frequency therefore you will increase both the ec and the amount of liquid being given, you will also increase your runoff requirement but for now 10% of the input is plenty. 

All going well you should see growth slowly pick up and start rapidly increasing around week 3. 

Always add calmag when growing in coco, being coco leeches nutrient to fill the cation exchange sites you want to ensure you are supplementing enough for both the plant and the coco, the amount will increase along with the other nutrients and you may require more or less depending on the plant itself and your lights intensity. 

With your light intensity you want to be shooting for 200-400ppfd at this young age somewhere around 250-300ppfd is perfect. You can achieve this a few ways the easiest of which is by using a dimmer, but you can also raise your lights until the tops of the seedlings are receiving the ideal range. 

Personally I like to keep my ph at 5.8ph early on in veg and then raise later as stretch begins and flower starts. But a happy medium of 6.0ph Is great to keep the ship running smoothly as most nutrients are available for uptake at that ph range.

@smg_grows I got the full nutrient canna kit but I do everything a touch under and in light feed. So far so good! About to add photos to my grow diary uf curious!
