right i been going off this so may well be wrong

  • Lower than inflow EC                  anomaly             should self correct
  • within +200                               Ideal                  Monitor ec twice a week
  • +200-300                                  Acceptable          Monitor daily
  • +300-400                                  Caution              Increase fertigation /or quantity
  • cant get the dots off now but i monitor daily regardless and if i would be looking for lockout at +300 but thats just me ,

@echo there isn’t one EC number that’s perfect for coco, it’s always strain/cultivar dependent. Every coco grower eventually develops a range of in/out that they are comfortable with. I like to run mine a little lower than some simply because it works for me. Other growers run theirs a little higher also with outstanding results. This being said I had to learn this the hard way, with a few lousy runs that I could only blame on myself. For me start at 1/4 strength recommended feed and measure the EC in and out. If the EC is within .200 of each other leave it alone unless you are seeing a deficiency or a nute burn. This means if you go in at .500 and out at .300 - .700 I let that be for now. If the output range is low increase the input by .2 and monitor for a couple days. Again take a reading and adjust as needed but give the plants some time to deal with your fine tuning, the numbers change gradually. Same rule if it’s high, decrease and monitor. Try to find a comfortable zone for the plant, leave her be, and she will reward you with a crazy yield. The plants have an amazing ability to adapt and most of the time they will let you know what’s up. Of course you have to monitor for deficiency and such but that’s what a diary is good for. Hope this makes sense.
