I'm about to wrap up my first grow and used hydroponic nutrients (CNS17 BLOOM by Botanicare) in soil (Promix) at the recommendation of a friend
Can't speak on the final product yet, but visually, things went great.
I honestly didn't realize that they were hydro nutes until like, a week ago. I have yet to get an EC meter but realize now that I was running a risk of overfeeding them and creating a build up of salts. No signs of nutrient lock out that I could see...
I'm looking for others experiences and insights on this.
Obviously will have to invest in an EC meter if I continue using these nutrients, but should I be doing a nute free flush occasionally throughout the grow? I have about one week left, should I consider polishing off this grow with plain water?

@ikkinuggets I grow in soil and use bio bizz nutes, I usually give my plants nutes/water every day, some people give them plain water every 2nd day or whatever, and about 2 weeks before I chop the plants I stop using nutes and put them on straight water till the end, they have plenty food stored in thier leaves so they wont go hungry.
Thats roughly the path iv been sticking to so far.lol 🙂

@ikkinuggets Thats ok no probs mate 🙂 I only started growing a year ago and bio bizz is all iv ever used in the way of nutes so I cant compare it with any other brands but im very happy with the results, and it's organic too.
I use Bio Bizz Fishmix, Bio Grow, Bio Bloom and Top Max, I never check water ph or anything either, I just use 50/50 rain/tap water and it seems to do fine. 😉
