Any ideas how to quieten my exhaust, the fan is super quiet but I can hear the air coming out and hitting the wall. It exits at back of work bench that is against a wall not much room to add stuff there.

So exhaust its straight out of back of fan, no ducting ??
You could try some of the hollowfibre filling for cushions/clothing. Put a piece on wall where exhaust hits and try that, not much else you can do really
Or turn the speed down slightly
Yer id reduce the speed of the fan, and make sure you've got the sock of the filter, so it isn't just exposing the metal. This will decrease the air movement whooshing sound a little lol

Try and get a proper one mate, if its cheap, itll reduce the lifespan of your extractor. It needs to be slowed down by a certain electric thing that AND will know more about lol. some ducting will help the noise too though mate.

A dimmer wouldnt work and would kill your fan, you need a variac controller 😉
