Grow Diary Mountain grows
Starting it’s flower cycle now, going to trim it one last time to take out any lower unneeded branches I’ve missed but looking decent coming into its last month.
looking good man, they get beastly outside!
This is another Tangerine Dream, I’ll follow it on this thread also.
Looking dank my friend
Overhead shots. Fed today. Flowers popping out everywhere. No big issues to worry about right now. weather gods be with us!
I wanted to transplant this smaller one into the ground because it really has just crap soil in its pot but the badger that’s digging around is stopping me, for sure I’ll transplant and the fooker will dig it up so I’m not going to chance it.
Starting to really suck up the fluids now, having to increase the watering schedule. No big rains yet, few crickets nibbling on the big fan leaves helping with defoliation 😁 there’s something digging a big hole right next to the plant, I suspect it’s a badger digging for earth grubs, leaving my plants alone for now though.
some great information there Redeyejedi26. What style pots are you using, Have you had the same issues with her twin? Shame that both sisters are not in the ground yet!!!!
The pots are 30 litres, I’ve checked now though and the roots have penetrated the the bottom of the pot and have startied into the ground, and there’s only a month left now so along with the badger the cons of transplanting outweigh the pros for me, I find this badger likes nice fresh soil to dig in so putting plant in ground with nice soil would surely result in disaster. Loads of flower all over plants, few more weeks should be posting some nice bud pics.
I’ve had a few pest problems outdoors and to ultimately fix the problem I trapped the animal(s) in a live trap and relocated them. Around here possums, raccoons, and armadillos are my biggest problems as they love the smell of the organic inputs, especially bone and blood meals. It doesn’t matter if it’s cannabis or hibiscus, they are indiscriminate eaters. They will completely destroy a potted plant looking for the smell. I paid $25usd for a live trap and have relocated scores of problem critters over the years. Had to reinforce the trap because armadillos almost destroyed the thing. They fight super aggressive to get out and are really hard on a small trap. It’s simpler to move them than to fight them.
Some close up shots of a few branch ends.
found this older pic of the little one, there was quite a bad hail storm early summer and she took quite a bit of damage, a good trim up though and she was fine.
Would Vinegar and or Pepper help to detour them there damn ass Badgers? I have armadillo's, raccoons, skunks-(a lot of them) and squirrels. Plus other things that go bump in the night. Badgers would be a bitch, they probably don't understand the meaning of the word NO, they just find another way to get what they want. I guess you gotta be smarter than the badger, so I'm not an applicant. sorry, lol What about stuffed animals or something?? Kind of like a Scare Crow. Around here people put soap in stockings and hang it around their veggie garden to keep the Deer away. Music? Just a thought. Otherwise, I do a hot lead injection if things get out of hand, but only as a last resort. You don't want to shoot a skunk anywhere around your house. Good luck. How does badge taste?
6th sept. Light defoliation. Drinking lots. Weather holding.
Been only a few days but every day things look better. Little bit of defoliation every 3 days or so thinning out fan leaves, I’ve trimmed up to where I want so now not much to do to it, all these pictures are of the bigger plant, I’ll do a post tomorrow on the smaller one as I’m just finishing trimming that one up and removing all the weaker bud sites.
a couple more pics I couldn’t fit on the last post.
