Hello All,
Thought I'd share what I've been working on for the past 4 Months and counting. Currently in Week 10 for flower, I'm going to start the flush tomorrow and chop her down on Saturday I think. Trichomes are now all cloudy with about 10% pronounced ambering. These photos-periods are 3x Strawberry Cough from seed planted on Dec 2 2018, using coco and perlite mix. Hand watering twice a day. Smells like strawberry's as the name suggests which is hella nice ?
"Trichomes are now all cloudy with about 10% pronounced ambering" Awesome Dave! By the time you chop them they'll be around 20% amber, couch lock weed, real nice! Its always good to be patient and lets those trichs ripen good. It will be amazing weed that will mate. You just gotta dry it slow and flush it good
What's your idea for flushing?

Thanks for asking I should clarify what I'm planning on doing just in case its all wrong lol so I don't fuck it up.... ?
I am using a synthetic nutrient line so as it is my understanding when growing in coco I should flush for 5-6 days. My idea of flushing is to use no nutrients just plain de-chlorinated tap water pH'd to 5.8. The fabric pot sizes are all 3 gallons each, I currently feed twice per day about 1/3 a gallon per feed. My plan is to increase the amount from 1/3 gallon per feed to full 1 gallon per feed twice per day always just using plain 5.8 water and do this till the PPM of the run off is around the base tap water. For about 5 Days? Does this sound about right? I printed your flush guide out. Thanks for the articles here, very helpful and easy to read and understand Also my fabric bags are covered in white salts on the outsides. Hopefully after the flush those salts will be gone

That's the reason i only use fabric in veg, 😉 I don't like the look of that white stuff lol. they are big plants mate. I would:
First flush, about 3 x pot size, flush until PPM is close to the Background PPM. Then just water them at 5.8 as normal for five days. ( about ten percent runoff per watering) this will slowly leech the salts out of the plant.
Then, give it five more days with normal water, that's not Ph'd. This will lock any nuits left out, and force the plant to eat the stored up nuits in flowers and leaves, and not the root zone.
Ten day flush and you should be good mate, you have not fed them a massively high PPM< and they dont look over fed. Its just that they are big, try and let them go a little longer
Keep the fans on at this stage too!! as the plant gets weaker, rot can easily set in, dont let air stay still, and dont let temps drop below 18c

You can just smell that goodness through the screen mmmmmmmm! We need a smoke report when it's ready mate, every detail lol
Very nice Dave...cough is on my list...i've tried lots of Strawberry strains in the hope of finding one I smoked about a year ago...no luck so far 🙁
Maybe this is it, also waiting for the smoke report

Thanks all for the kind words! And thanks for the flushing instructions. I did the 1st big flush out 2 days ago. Now just doing plain ph'd water for 2 more days, then ill switch to non ph'd to force the lock out for a few more days then 2nd flush. The buds have already swelled in size. I will post a detailed smoke report once done. The plan is to cut her down in about 10 days. So excited. But I have another auto-low ryder grow that is also going on at the same time that will move into the SC's place once shes cut.

Awesome mate I do the same thing, couple of autos in the side for a bit extra, and some variety lol. These next couple of weeks they will fatten out and ripen real good. You've give it a good timing with the trichomes, I have no doubt, as long as you dry it right, it'll be amazing weed
Thanks Macky! I'm aiming to have a long long slow dry, hopefully. I've got my drying tent with carb filter all set up. I was planning on hang drying the branches for 7-10 days. Then putting in mason jars with daily burping for 2 weeks. I'm in no rush to smoke it, I got lots of potent shatter to hold me off for a month or two ? . I've read the drying/curing process is one of most important steps to get that top shelf look and smell. I welcome any tips and tricks ?

Dry trim mate, leaves the leaves on, everything, chop nothing off the buds at all for the first few days. Then easily trim bit off through out the week as it dries, or just leave them to fully dry.
Leaves the plant to dry for long, and goes to get chlorophyll n shit leak onto your buds. I always dry trim mine, makes a difference in the final texture of the smoke if you can dry fro longer than ten days.
When the buds are snapping of the branches, stick them in air tight jars and burp once every 24 hours, for ten minutes or so.
Have you though about humidity packs?

I wouldnt recommend boveda packs, heard of a few people complain they leech smells and terps from your medicine.
