Questions [Completed] Clip on Oscillating Fans

Ahh man that sucks.

I have the same fan and had the same problem when I frist bought it.

Mine did it on setting 1 randomly, then all of a sudden never did it again, no help to you but maybe something wrong with those fans.

Must be the belt stretching or something

Tower fans are the best in my opinion if you have room for them(which I dont)

Find an old metal one from the 40's-50's-60's. Puy a new cord on it. The new ones suck. If they don't arrive broken then they don't last every long. I have two of the Honeywell Turbo Force oscillating fans. I love them when they work but 1-2 grows and they don't oscillate anymore. The plastic can't compare with metal. A metal one today would probably be $$$, and I haven't seen anything that catches my eye. Maybe @Galandil is right for once ( 🤣 ) we all just need to get Dyson's, wow maybe a give away comp for a Dyson! 🤣 🤣 🤣 In my Dreams, plus the Dyson will probably break just as fast. It's the RH that does them in, imo.   

We all been through this , I gone over the top and it works , ram eco 12" floor fan , loads of settings,  and is quiet , for above the canopy , 16" osilateing wall fan , all the monkey fans are utter shit and break , clink clink 😆 🤣, that said Ac infinity have just realised their version , 2 motors 1 for the fan blades , 1 motor for the osilation L to R

Yeah man, happened to me, after a while they did that and then they broke. I gave up and bough cheap tower oscillating fans... will see how that goes... if it was up to @macky you should get a Dyson tower XD... good luck mate

I know this is probably no the answer you are looking for, but maybe it is worth considering, or maybe it will help someone else out. I was really frustrated at all the terrible reviews and short life span of all the small oscillating fans out there -- seemed like throwing money away to me.  I ultimately decided to take a gamble on the $15.50  "Amazon Basics 3 Speed Small Room Air Circulator Fan, 7-Inch" and am very pleased I did (keep in mind this is the smaller of the sizes available). It is not an oscillating fan, but I mounted it to a board up high in my grow space, pointed it downward, and I run it on lowest of three speeds.  The low setting is very quiet, and it moves enough volume of air on low that there is great circulation. Running on the lowest speed, I think it will last a lot longer. Also, if I ever upgrade my tiny grow-space, I am sure the fan will do just fine in something much bigger.  Of course, I also hope that running it on low is consuming much less electricity, but I do not recall what its maximum consumption is. Lasko 2264qm. All the workings are metal as far as I remember. Built to last. Can be floor mounted or wall mounted. It's a 20 inch fan though so maybe overkill.

I have gone trough about 3 of them fans and the same thing happened to me, I was told by the grow shop that you are not supposed to have them tilted anymore than 11deg after I was told this I kept them straight and they seem to last quite a while longer, 

also I was in the grow shop today and the bloke said that they are getting a new batch of them fans in Wednesday week and they appaohave a new bearing in them which is supposed to resolve the issue. Hope this helps brother😎👍🏻🪴💚
