Questions Supplemental UV lights

I think the UV and CO2 environments are examples of the last 10% of anything taking 90% more effort.

If you want your pot to be 23% instead of 22%, go for it.

Pretty much, you give the plants a blast of the UV light for around 15 mins a day during the flowering stage. The plant will produce more resins and oils with trichomes to try to stop the plants DNA being affected by the UV light. The UV damages the DNA, much like it does to people. We use sunscreen to try to prevent it, cannabis plants produce more trichomes and shit as a sunblock. 

From what I have seen, they do a decent job, but I have never used one. Each model will be different. So its best to check with the model you have to decide how long you expose the plants to it and how often.

Hello 🙂 

So after pondering for a while I decided to go for it !

I have brought myself 4 ion uva  lights that cost me just over a 100 quid . 

My reason is that I am trying to grow as closely as I can inside as I would outside .

I like the buds that I grow outside , they seem to have a thicker and more terpy taste and feel . The biggest draw back is being a the mercy of the beautiful English weather (rain) and struggling get to harvest.

So I'm thinking these will help in my quest lol.

I have been doing my research and it seems a new thing . I am going the experiment a bit .

I think it will be OK.  

I have read up on use of uva lights , there seems to be lots various advice . I think the thing is to be careful and not expose the plants to prolonged exposure at max output . 

I have being working out my money and have come to the decision 

I'm going to retire in 18months lol . Woop woop
