Not sure of the price of black dog but there is a new migro array out specially for 3x3 or 1m2.
im coming to end of first grow under the migro 240 with 10%far red option (covering 2x4 or 60cm x 120cm).
3 plants (white widow/ red mandarin/ chunky cookies) looks like yield will be over 10oz, maybe 11. Will update when final plant is dry.
Thats well over 1g/w at first attempt using the light. So I’m happy to recommend the migro.
I know there is lots of choice but I’d recommend quality more important than value for money.
leds will get cheaper so if value for money is most important to you, maybe wait til the competition has caught up the top guys.

What puts me off in the Black Dog is FANS! These moving mechanical parts that most led manufacturers are working to eliminate. Moving parts means noise and a potential failure point to me. I would be considering the invisible sun ish320 for a 3x3 because there’s no moving parts. Migro 240 is also a no moving parts light that’s a quality item as well.

Monkedo touched on fans , my older leds a lower end brand albeit had fans and they are audible , until they stop one day and well , what do you do ? Well im a dumbarse by nature so my remedy was whack a single trip switch on a plug , its an adaptor not homemade 🤣 reds burnt out pretty fast but the rest worked 😅 and the choice of a fire or the girls go night night ,no choice safety first,

Got the Black Dog . So far its what I expected, Well builT not too loud. I don't mind spending the money, I just don't like to waste it. Im electron by trade and I can tell its a well built light. Time to run it trough the gauntlet .
