Anyone growing with Real Growers Grow Dots? I tried using the search to find diaries but wasn't able to. I have started using them for a grow and would like to check out any diaries also using them.
So far my review is that its been a week and my plants are not dead yet.
@southsilly Grow Dots are kind of new. However, many of us have been using the Recharge and love it. Chances are you will have good results if you follow the directions that Real Growers give you. Be sure to keep us informed. You know we are interested.

@superc Yeah recharge is a good product, thats why i decided to try grow dots ... I have searched youtube and there are a some videos but I wouldnt call them helpful (all look like 1st timers). I dont even know if they are available outside the US and Canadia yet.
I remember talking to Jordan River when he was in Illinois and he was running grow dots then. I do remember him saying they were a great product but I don’t have details on how he used them.

@southsilly I might try to contact the grow dot folks to see if they would like to be on HOHG. This topic seems to be popular so why not.

Guess i should follow up on this, as i did run into some issues, although they may be more due to the small pot size.
I ran in buffered coco in 1 gal and had super fast growth until mid flower and experienced what i now believe to be a lock out from salt build up. Real growers instructed no runnoff or flushing recquired, but to be fair they also recommend atleast a 5 gal pot.
I ran again in a 1gal and a 3 gal in coco but this time the 1 gal was half leftover living soil. I ran them both the same way, water only no runnoff. I ran into the same issue mid flower, more so with the coco only 3 gal, i flushed them both with 2x pot size in plain water and they finished up nicely.
In summary, I think runnof is required or maybe a small flush start of flower. I think it was Woodi that pointed this out at the start, but not being a coco grower i went with the Real Growers recommendation.
I can speculate that the living soil in the coco mix helped with the salt. I do plan on running these again for shits and giggles.
@southsilly, glad your getting things sorted. I haven't used the grow dot yet cause I'm a newbie and I'm only allowed to hold the watering can. lol But I also don't know about the half and half mix and the salt base but when all else fails "flush" is my moto. I know @im_sparky has tried Grow Dots and Super soil, I think and had some issues. I don't know how or when folks are adding them, initially when the soil is mixed or throwing them in during transplant or top dressing and what amount? But I hope this can get this straightened out because a lot of folks are starting to use them. 👍
