Best strain for UK outdoor grow?

Hi mate 

I have grown a few autos outside in uk with no issues

Best keep in a greenhouse if u can , cheap plastic ones are fine 

With a auto best germinate  April (keep eye on weather not to cold or wet) I find by end of June they ready to harvest

If you do a photo period check out strains for Northern climates or a fast flower variety. 

I will be doing a fast flower white runtz  by hso next year I'm planning to leave outside

I'm researching growing just one plant in a pot outdoors in a yard. I like smoking relaxing indicas for anxiety relief and sleep. I am aware autoflowers may be best to grow outdoors in the UK?  Any recommendations? 

Bud Rot is the one to watch for. If it’s a rainy year, especially. Autos could avoid the rainier late summer/ early autumn period. I would go that route. I’ve lost a few to bud rot outside UK 😩 good luck with it bro 😎 

@original_dankster I'm in the UK also. Tried outdoor growing summer before last. Northern Lights Auto did best for me, but even that succumbed to bud rot in the end. What discouraged me more so was the smell, couldn't hide it. I have a pretty large garden, even so, the smell just wafted along in the wind. Didn't really want to chance my arm with the neighbours, despite their house being around 200ft away 🙄

@absolutebeginner with our damp weather I wouldn't even bother with a photo period as you and everyone else has said bud rot is a huge prob but if you growing in your yard bare in mind thieves or neighbours are prob  your main issues. Strain wise if it's an auto n you grow in our peak season you can pretty much grow whatever flavours etc that you want

Having been growing outdoors for the past 10 years. I have gained a wealth of experience in this area. 

Any autoflower will be fine.

@smg_grows would you say any of those are "low odour" ?

@toploader full odour impossible too control odour outdoors

@smg_grows that certainly was my experience. The Northern Lights Auto was described by Royal Queen Seeds as "low odour", but that really didn't seem to be the case.
