4 years ago I bought this shelter on sale with high hopes of using it as a light dep tent in summer and storage in the winter. Well the material this thing is made out of was shite and the sun had it's way with it in 2 years and toasted it 😥.
The roof had rips and became paper thin, the original colors on the door still in good shape because it was usually rolled up. I purchase some Panda film which is 6 mil plastic, white one side and black on the other. Then I had to figure how to put the plastic on, green houses use an aluminum channel and wiggle wire to secure the plastic so I got some of that. I screwed the channel to the support metal tube frames on each end and then installed the plastic. The beauty of this is when the plastic wears out in a few years you just wiggle the wire back out and install new Panda film or clear plastic if you want a green house.

It's a little wrinkly but that's the way I like it, lol.
Now I got to thinking about making a green house out of a car/truck shelter. It just so happens I have one, picked it up used, cheap because tarp was wind wacked but the frame was still good.

Yes @woodi2 , I like many projects at the same time, keeps me from finishing them 🤣. Why does the woman always get credit for the garden? eh? inquiring minds want to know . Kiddn man, she deserves the credit.

I use the light dep for switching the outdoor veg to flower, give 12 hrs dark triggers flowering early so we don't have to deal with cold damp days of fall and also capitalize on the best summer sun during flowering. This year I tried regular seeds so before transplanting to forever pots I light depped them to find the males. I was counting on 50/50 chances but ended up more like 30/70 female vs male, grr. Perhaps I stressed them somehow which apparently can bring on the males more.

@hart, hey inquiring minds now know, thanks. lol Well man that's super cool that you have the area (the Ponderosa) and the knowledge (Mrs. Hart lol) to have all these cool projects. The great outdoors sure would be cool to play in especially with all the natural farming techniques. I hope your summer temps aren't too bad with your northern location, but I'm sure it still gets hot. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm Jealous Damn it!! lol 🤢 see, green with envy!! lol
Well, at least post some pics of your projects so some of us (ok, just me) can live vicariously throw them. 🤣 Sorry to hear about the males, are you going to make FPJ out of them?

Funny you should mention the Ponderosa, we have 3 spruce trees we planted many moon ago and we named them Ben, Hoss and Little Joe. We have to move the Martin house as the Bonanza bunch have triangulated in on it.
Speaking of triangulating, here's some Star Trek names in this bunch (Locutus, Romulan Kush, Crystaline Identity), a Mimosa1 and a Cream Cheese CBD. I'm trying to keep them small(er), don't want to lay them down in the tent at night, lol. Thanks @templegrower @chillbert and Freeseeds dot ca!

It looks most excellent there my friend, and the martins probably love the seclusion. I'm right behind you this more @Chillbert off-springy's too. I don't have a cool tent to take mine camping in though, but I do have about ninety eleven of those cool red planter buckets so we could be like twins.
