So this plant has had the shit kicked out of it its entire life. It was an unknown sprout that suffered from a couple snow falls followed by bugs, extreme heat and wind damage (plus an overcrowded garden and overwatering but that's my style lol)
Today I came home to this
Snapped about 2/3s up the stalk. Bent over 90 degrees and has a split running up the stem.
I was thinking about pulling it out of the garden before this happened but the mystery behind its origin made me want to keep it (but it does look like it will be male IMO but I'm wrong about that more than right lol).
Anyway, think it's worth even trying to save?
It's got a nice fat stem to it. Anyone ever done any grafting?
I didn't want the little bastards (bugs) getting into the exposed hollow stem so I saced a top from the coco bucket. Stuck it in the hole, wrapped with root hormone soaked paper towel, plastic, and tape.
Dout it will work but figured I'd try seeing as I'm probably pulling it anyway
Didn't work LOL
