After listening to the show for the past 3 months I finally cracked to the "just grow autos man..."
looking at going the lazy route:
1 plant, using an autopot setup inspired by autopotamus
Synganic soil custom mix
Real Growers Grow dots for nuit inspired by Scotty Real
Environment taken care of by Vivosun. Lights, fans, exhaust...
Pic is of set up, dialing in lights and making sure PAR is in check.

@littlered937 Good luck mate. My first successful grow from seed to harvest was with auto's too, but there was a debate of the seeds were really autos or not, as it took so long to flower (several months actually). Still don't know, was on a different forum, but they were from a good source (seedsman too).
It could have been many factors, too much light, too much HST butchering the plants a lot, too much EC and using the full amount of nute's the bottle said. Maybe it was letting the coco dry out fully a few times without watering it too, many negligent factors to pin it down exactly.
Luckily it was a resilient stain, Northern Lights. It all worked out in the end, even though a long process, I got several large main colas using manifold method, most were bigger than my elbow to hand in the end before harvesting!
Good luck with the grow buddy. I was just look at that strain its a purple or red looking buds if i remember will be interesting to see how yours turns out ✌️
Soil was mixed up and added to the pot yesterday, watered and allowed the pot to set up in the tent for 24 hours to acclimate to the tent. Seed placed in soil with a dome to raise the heat and humidity just enough to encourage sprouting.
Now to see what takes place!
Then there was life.
Update to the setup, had to add a heater to maintain temperatures in the tent until established. Since I am setup in the garage the outside temperature drops were effecting the tent environment too much for a healthy germination.
Here is a 1 week update. Really looking forward to seeing how this turns out. I have never grown an auto before.

They can grow really fast if provided with enough light and nutrient, just don't overdo it as there are no going back with an auto

Lights are currently 16 inches above the plant. Power @ 55%.PAR is 475 at the top of the plant.
Light cycle of 22 on 2 off.
Auto-pot valve on, nutrients were mixed in, water is non PHd RO.
@littlered937 Looking good so far, are you planning to train this at all, or let it do it's thing naturally?
@plane_co I want to see this first one go naturally. I will prune as needed but no branch training . Then if I enjoy the smoke I have three more seeds and I will try training if the natural growth doesn’t yield well.
And in the third week you can almost watch this plant grow up.
Still just using straight RO. Appears the grow dots are starting to work. Air temp remains stable 72f to 77f. Humidity seems low around 50ish.
sad news, and lessons learned. Stem rot hit , should have waited longer on the water.
However this is where the fun takes place. Why not try and take clones? If they die it was bound to happen. If they take a little bud is better then no bud.

On the original plant I trimmed the bottom leaves and it started to lean. After looking closer and moving the soil from around the stalk I was able to confirm the tissues were soft mushy brown.
I am planning to start another journal for the auto I was hand watering directly beside this one.

Unlucky mate, that's a shame the clones didn't work either. Im not having much luck with the autos myself but im sure we'll get there yet if we keep trying.

Boooo, it happens sometimes man, they clones can takes ages to actually take too. You just gotta try again Have you heard the episode we did with Clone Coach? He had some great info about cloning there.
