Day 8
Day zero seeds went directly into 5 gallon buckets all but the orange bucket are food grade unfortunately this is a budget grow the tent and lights are all hand me downs I plan on upgrading the light over the next couple of weeks
Seeds took 3 days to germinate the first was the mystery seed the second was the 24kt last but not least was the grape krush
Day 2 they seem to be going good so far
Day 3 mystery strain seems to have the lead with 24kt on its tail and Grape Krush bring up the rear
Day 4 all seem to be growing at a steady pace
The day we got our seeds unfortunately the freebie was unlabeled so it’s a mystery

Day 11
Day 12 woke up to this I think I’m going to get some cal-mag tonight see if that fixes the issue I believe it’s a magnesium deficiency should have plenty of calcium from the bone meal in the soil let me know what you think maybe some epsom salt
@dabbingjesus Well done on getting started on your first grow.
I cant really advise on autoflowers as I haven't grown them before but the only thing I think I can see that looks a little different is your pot size looks pretty large for a seedling. I know that some people do start off in their finishing pot for autos though so I'm sure it's not an issue.
The only thing that made me bring that up is I find the number one issue new growers come across (in soil) is watering issues and when you combine that with growing a seedling in a large pot things become a lot harder to manage. So I would just want to check that your soil isn't too wet as its very easy to overwater seedlings in a large pot. Overwatering can look like lots of things to and can stop the plant from absorbing what it needs.
Maybe a little foliar spray of cal mag solution as a might be better to try as at least if there are any issues with over watering then you wont be making it worse.
Good advice there @yoshi. @DabbingJesus I would try an Epsom salt foliar and see how your plant responds to that before watering in anything more also. Here is how to make the E salt foliar spray.
@yoshi I’ve been water about 2 shot glasses maybe 3 every 2-3 days when things look dry I had water the day before
@dabbingjesus Thats good to be cautious, to be fair I don't think I even water in my first week with seedlings (I moisten the soil initially though) but everyones environment/variables are different and i keep my humidity above 60%rh. What kind of soil are you in? Also have you put drainage holes in your buckets(pots)? If you're in a premade soil mix I would hope you shouldn't have any deficiencies this early on. Tap water usually has more than enough calcium if you're using that to.
@yoshi my soil is a mix of a house brand of vegetable potting mix perlite bonemeal worm castings and something else I just can’t remember I followed templegrowers super soil kinda to the best of my ability the one thing I know I didn’t add was the epsom salt mixed it up in a 55 gallon drum the buckets are double buckets first bottom looks like swiss cheese for good drainage plan on adding air stones in the bottom buckets once roots come through and leave a small amount or water in there for them and see what happens but the bottom buckets also have overflow drains to keep the water level low use to do something similar minus the air with tomatoes and worked great
@dabbingjesus Thats cool as long as there is drainage then at least its not stagnant. I made some soil with potting mix etc before and had issues as it turned all muddy (not enough peat/coco/pumice and too much compost) at the base of my pots and then the seedlings got root bound and I lost them all.
If you think that not adding epsom could be the reason for a deficiency then the foliar of epsom should be the fastest way to remedy the issue. Fingers crossed thats it but just keep being cautious with the watering like you have been
@yoshi that sucks I don’t wanna lose these my soil is very airy and loose I went a little heavier on the perlite for the drainage I’ll be spraying epsom salt when I get home tonight and hopefully that helps

Day 14 other than the spots on the 24kt that seem to have stopped everything seems to be going ok
Day 14 did some lst or as I like to call it coat hanger therapy
