Welcome to my diary.   As the title says, First Timer... so any thoughts or advice are much appreciated.

Starting with 2 White Widow feminized auto-flower seeds.  not sure where best to store the rest of the beans for several months

The closet is 2 x 3.

Lighting:  Spider Farms SF2000

Soil:  MG w/ nuit's, mixed in about 25% perlite.

Started both beans in a cup of water for about 36 hrs, once they popped open, both went directly into 3 Gal. Cloth pots,  given a little water and covered for 2 days.

A day later they broke the surface and the day after I see a couple tiny 1st leaves!  Gave them both a little water after removing plastic dome removed link

Yer, reading the details mentioned miracle grow for flowering which wouldn’t be very good as it’s mostly nitrogen, the same with miracle grow soil, tons of nitrogen but very little phosphorus. For bloom you want the second number in the description to be the highest, not the first one. Miracle grow fertilizer is 24-8-16 so very low potassium at only 8 and very high nitrogen which can cause very airy and loose bud structure with lots of stretch too. Personally I’d buy cannabis specific nutrients for bloom but there are other non cannabis bloom nutrients that might be adapted by trial and error. Super bloom is a Scott’s product intended for flowering plants. I use it on my outdoor flowers all the time but never tried it on weed. The analysis on that one is 12-55-6. I’ve not tested any of these on cannabis and still would recommend cannabis specific nutrients if at all possible because they also contain certain trace elements that the cannabis plants like.

@monkeydo thx man.  It's Miracle-Gro Potting Mix moisture control to be exact.  Bag says: (N) 0.21 - (P) 0.11 - (K) 0.16

I'm about to order "Fox Farm Tiger Bloom Liquid Concentrate Fertilizer - (N) 2.0 - (P) 8.0 - (K) 4.0" for flowering.   With the bag already full of nuit's, I planned to use nothing extra until it's time for the Tiger Bloom.

I've used tiger bloom with good results before. As far as when to start the nutrients, read the plants, they will let you know if they are hungry. They should be OK till then but just stay watchful.

@woolieback  thx dude!  this first time shit is stressful lol  Grin

How stretchy is too stretchy?  Is 'the stretch' what tells me time to lower the light?

I searched for it and didn't find anything so far.

Yer, monkey doesn’t bite unless he missed lunch lol. Here’s the guide I use. It’s related to PAR but Woolie has an easy hack to use your android phone to take proper readings. The hack was created by Shane, the owner of Migro.

The bit about shading towards the end is a little controversial but I still try to do it. Some say it doesn’t help, you can decide for yourself lol.

I cant lie I have not measured PAR in my indoor grows but about 20 inches away has been good for me with seedlings. Just make sure that they dont keep "reaching" and put more of the energy into making new leaves....as your first time growing everything is going to seem extra stressful right now LOL. But don't worry the pros here like monkey and other soil Growers will make sure that you're taking care of as best as possible. So far you're doing a great job!!🙂

@zn  thx man.   I dropped the light and increased the % and have it at 230 now according to the android app I'm using,

which for the SF2000 is: 25% @ 22 inches.   I like this method a hell of a lot better than worrying about % of light to use and distance.

The plan is to follow the chart @monkeydo posted above using the PPFD meter... sound good to you?

Day 7...

Dirt seems to be keeping it upright at the moment.  Lighting, heat, watering all seem good, no idea why it fell over last night.  Any ideas?

Nothing other than the 2 tiny first leaves on each of them.

Buried both half way up the stem, very lightly so as not to disturb them.

Also put a circulating fan in there about halfway above the bin theyre in...they're getting just a bit of movement from the air bouncing off the walls...thought direct wind may be too much on them right now.

PPFD is: 240 currently.  Temp is: 75

Day 10...

16201146535724315322839478015780

Looking healthy

Temp: 76

PPFD:  280

Watered them both with 3 cups of water total.  Not sure what amount I should be watering.

Should I be watering a certain amount or look to them and the soil(what I've been doing) to tell me?
