A buddy of mine has been doing some genetics work focusing mainly on autos and fast flowers geared toward hobby growers. He had this stud male that was a CAF2/HKFF x Anvil F9 that he collected pollen from and hit a bunch of females. Among these was the mother for this cross. She’s Oil Spillx ‘88G13 HH. I’m also running any plant which was hit with the same male. It was some bag seed he’d gotten from an old head that was simply labeled Lime Ticket. In May I popped 4 seeds, two from each, originally potted into 4” pots. At the time I was running a small tent my wife bought me from Amazon it was probably 18”x32” and a couple cheap grow lights I picked up from Harbor Freight.
I grew all 4 plants in that tent until I ran out of space so I moved two plants outside and kept two in the tent.
picked up the Vivosun tent and VS100E on their Prime day sale along with an oscillating fan. Set up the new tent on July 18, got the two plants settled as well as a couple clones I’d taken from the OSxG13. Of course within a week or so the LT2 I was running dropped balls. No biggie, I just planted him outside in the garden and brought in the other LT2 which was just starting to flower outside. I debated this choice for a few days as I knew there was a chance I would bring in some bugs or shit but figured I’d take the chance.
Anyway, just cruising along so far. Looking to chop Sept 19 and should have a fair harvest. Pretty stoked for just my second run.

I guess I originally potted them into 2gal pots then transplanted up to 7 gal fabric which I rolled down to make them fit the old space better.

the two smaller plants are clones from the hash plant that I pollenated with the male. I also isolated 3 stems on the LT2 that I pollenated to create F2s. On top of that I have a matching hash plant outside across the yard from the male that I let just go wild. Should have seeds-a-plenty this fall.
This is the male I pulled from the tent and planted in the garden. Has great structure and smells like straight bleach. Super fumey. I cut a bouquet of flowers, put them in a jar on a Pyrex casserole pan and sleeved it with the beer box. Let the whole mess set in the bathtub in a bathroom we don’t ever use for a couple days the. Collected the pollen. Should have a few projects worth of pollen.

@radicle_buffalo , I like the male plants that are short and stocky like that. Mate that with a short and stocky female!

Here’s my weekly update. Plants are doing well. Been heavy drinkers, aren’t we all? Watering around every other day. Feeding Fox Farms Tiger Bloom every Wednesday along with home made water soluble calcium. I’ve had a fairly small aphid population for the last couple weeks and had found a cluster of ladybug eggs on a maple tree in my yard so I plucked a leaf and let them hatch and enjoy the buffet. Saw two of them today are going through metamorphosis which is super cool. Also have a few praying mantis running around between that and pinching any aphids I find we seem to be keeping it at a reasonable level. Just trying to avoid any sooty mold at this point. We’ll just keep truckin I suppose. Still shooting for a mid-Sept harvest.
Here we are at the start of week 7 of flower (day 44) I was planning to go the full 9 weeks but spending some time with the ladies today, I’ve decided this Friday will be chop day. Watered yesterday, thoroughly, and that will be the last water they get. I’ll kill the lights on Wednesday and run 48 hours dark till harvest on Friday. That hash plant is so damn frosty, super resinous. Just moving plants around to take pictures today and my arm hairs are all caked down now. And that was with me being careful. 😆

Gave the ladies their last watering Sunday afternoon then unplugged the lights when they went off Wednesday evening. Thursday I pulled out the LT2 and did a wet trim just to clear her up ahead of time and make sure I had all the aphids off before chop. Friday evening I harvested after I got off work. The Oil Spill x 88G13 is so freaking sticky. Just dripping with resin. Did a much rougher wet trim on her to make sure I’d have some leftover trim, also because she was so sticky it was a giant pain in the ass. Got them all hung in the tent with the output fan running and lower vents open. Running right around 75-78* F and 50-60% RH.

well, pulled the last of the plants out of the tent tonight and finished trimming, got everything jarred up to cure. Wound up just over 4oz total between both plants 1.75oz on the Oil Spill x 88G13 and 2.4oz on the LT2. Had to poke some in the small jars to keep the wife out of it while it cures. 😆
In the future I won’t do such a tidy job on the wet trim. The hash plant dried over 8 days but the LT2 was pretty well done after 3, far too fast.
