I could use some advice....
We left our place in the care of our early 20's daughter last week while we had a holiday.
We have discovered on our return that she had several people stay over who we don't know as well as some extended family that has had some problems with my wife in the recent past, and who I expect would take any opportunity to cause problems for us.
She has blatantly and proudly shared our brownies & provided a guided tour of my cloning trays to seemingly everyone over the course of the week, possibly my outdoor grow and went on a hunt for my weed stash - though thankfully that was too hard for her.
We live in a rural area & there would likely be no witnesses to anyone coming on our property. I have ordered a security cam system to install around the house in the event of a theft.
So now I'm very concerned and think the smartest thing to do is remove everything as a precaution, particularly for the legal risk.
What do you guys think?
Sorry to hear that mate, that's a tricky one. The safest option would be to get rid of everything but nobody wants to do that, I dont suppose there's anyone who could take your plants to look after for a week of two just to see if there's any issues after those people seeing them.

Gotta take it all down mate... especially with the fact that family members know about it who have had problems with your wife, Family can be spiteful bastards and it isnt worth the risk. It was a bad idea to go on holiday and leave i with your daughter man. You should take it down for atleast 6 months and let everything die down..... you just dont know if and when it gonna come back and bite you in the ass.

@brewer76 sorry to say bro but I think its a tear it out and start in a safe place once heat dies off job. Bit of a shit go but if there are now multiple people who know you have a grow underway, the risk is going to be higher than the reward, even just someone saying something to someone offhandedly can cause major issues. This unfortunatley the game we play in prohibition land.

Crooked government is why we are in this position in the first place mate, it can't be blamed on normal people who are trying to live their lives. Too many people have got too much to lose. It's nice to live a in a fairy tale world where we think all the stoners are gonna rise up together and fight for change. But if it hasn't happened in the last 50 years, it's not going to happen anytime soon. So if you do stand up, you stand up alone. Had a similar problem a while back when my previously trusted son decided to tell his wife about things I'd shared with him. He then entered into a rather messy and protracted divorce with her. She definitely would cause trouble if she could and sure enough I got a visit from the police.
I speculate that her heresay wasn't sufficient to warrant a search, so they chanced their arm trying to provoke grounds to do by a "welfare visit". Fortunately that didn't work out.
I had taken the precaution of tearing everything down and it had to remain down for best part of a year. I'd have agree with the guys, it's not worth chancing it.
Time to grow old disgracefully.

Sorry to hear about your woes . I wouldn't be to hard on your daughter, when I was that age I was an acident waiting to happen. I think she was showing off, trying to be the cool kid in front of her mates. Unfortunately her naivety, in telling people has left you open to both legal and other problems
If it was me , I would take my grow down and stash my equipment. The plants , I would offer to a very trusted friend , although if they was in flower I would crop early
I then would tell her the 3 rules no tell ,no smell, no sell.
She knows she has fucked up and you not growing for a couple of months will show her how much of a stupid she has done .
I one way I understand her , because when I grow and have weed I want to show and share but can't and don't .
