[Sticky] Do we all see colours the same?

Colour is an emotion...it makes you warm & fuzzy or cold & shivering...Its very odd the effect colour can have on a room and on a mood and no not everyone sees the same, the brain processes the same but sub-concious has an impact before concious gets the conclusion

 

yeah fully agree with this - some people find some colours absolutely perverse and others find it calming lol.

Mitch, what was the show called? sounds interesting. I always wondered what cannabis is like for those without a sense of smell, if you put a bud in your mouth you would kind of get the idea of the smell? lol would be uncomfortable around other people though

I am also wondering how this all works with psychedelics. I have taken LSD and seen things in movies that were never there, I know they were never there, but re-watching the movie when under the influence of nothing brings back the memory of something being there. An example is the colours of things in movies such as eyes, locations, the sky etc.

Very weird sensation to have it is like a filter gets placed upon whatever you are looking at based on your most recent memory and if you see something that doesn't align with that, maybe your brain tries to correct what it is perceiving.

Trying to fill my posts here so I can participate in september's/october's POTM competition. 😊 

I always thought that the names and definitions of colors, or things for that matter, is just something we agree on. I mean the images we see are built on our brain not our eyes. And since everbody is unique...

I am colorblind to some colors and one of the is green, so some shades of green is gray to me. But there are other colors i cant see but dont know that i cant see.

Yer, if we look at this, we all live in our own little sensory bubble. We understand the input from our limited senses and apply our intellect to create our own small model or “simulation” of the world around us in our mind. we truly only understand the world as we model it, not the real actual universe. Just imagine how different we would perceive the world I’d we has the ability to see things like magnetic waves, gravity, IR light and everything else. 

Sorta goes with the vision thing I ask about aliens or another dimension not that I’m a big believer,Just always wondered if we would even be able to see each other.  Or maybe I just smoked to much bubble again.
