Should i be running my filter/fan at all times? Im keeping my lights on 24/0 and just worried a little bit that it will get too warm and the RH will drop too low. I have a little cup on top to keep the humidity good for my lil guy. Its only one plant in there right now. Thanks for the help everyone!

Yep, for sure. Not that your plant will use up all the fresh air that quickly, especially being an inch tall but, definitely is important to keep the air moving, like Mitch said. If you are worried, you could take your light down to 20/4 to try and mitigate the temp/RH issues a bit... that's the schedule I run with my seedlings and they friggin love it. 😀

Good call on the cup tho and tbh, having the cup on there kinda 'closes' the system off to the outside environment so, unless you are in there refreshing the air under the cup often, or have a teeny little tiny exhaust fan built into your cup, the air outside the cup really doesn't matter too much at this point. It would likely just get really damn hot. So yeah, best to run the fan, lol.

I would run the fans at all times especially if your running the lights 24/7! Air movement is key for happy plants 😊👍

Im thinking this might be wind burn? I am not too sure though. Also! Update! The other bean of Black Rose x Salmon Cree finally popped up. Put it in the tent 2 days ago. No luck on any of the BC God Bud though which im bummed about.

Also, At what point of the seedling stage do you reccommend removing the little cup for humidity? So far my biggest thing has been controlling humidity. Its super dry where I am but i have a humidifier going, but I can't seem to find a happy medium to just let it be. I appreciate the help as always!

Looks ike the medium is too hot mate ( has too much nuits in it). Remind me again what medium this is?

If its soil, its too strong and you need to flush some of the nuits out. If its coco, you're feeding too much, or not getting run off.

Sweet, yer mate, for sure its the soil being too hot. Good to use a potting mix for seedlings so they dont get too shocked 🙂

Good news man sweet! GLad they are looking better. Next time, before you plant a seed in it, flush the soil first to get as much as possible out

Do it in a small pot so when the plants a bit bigger with some good root, you can transplant them into normal soil. They might still be affected a little, but they will be ok after a couple of days settling in

Okay cool i will do that next time. That makes a lot of sense. Quick question, at what stage would you remove the humidity cup on top of the seedling ? I need to use them at first since humidity is my problem

ASAP mate, after the stem is about a centimetre high. You need the fan to be blowing at it, and you need good light to be getting at it too. The humidity will be fine unless is below 40%. The plant will prefer the breeze over the humidity 🙂

okay cool, yeah humidity has been lower than 40 but i have been trying to keep it up by monitoring best i can, Will keep the breeze on them for sure. I used mycos on the other two beans and that stem is already taller than the other 2 lol

UPDATE! So like an idiot I didn't really realize that i had my light hung up waaaaayyy too far away. It was like 40 inches away . I didn't think about it. But i got it lowered to about 22 inches away. They all look happy. The most recent two are Blue Dream x ( cookie wreck)  X Legends Ultimate Indica so im excited to see how they go. Now that the light is lower Im hoping for more growth and some nice leaves come in. The littlest bean has popped its cotlyedon leaves and has some small true leaves coming in as of this morning.

Question! Around when should i transfer from the solo cup to the 3 gallon pot? thanks guys!

most people I know grow in the solo cups for 2 or 3 weeks from the first true leaves developing to let the roots develop. I go a little longer but that’s just me. Last thing you want is to break the roots when transplanting cause they haven’t gotten strong.

If you grow autos you need to be careful not to root stress them in the cups because it can trigger premature blooming and lower yield. Personally I start my autos in larger pots for that reason. You can get away with lots more with photos tho.

Hope this helps

Wait a minute, you’re a soil grower and my advice is based on my using coco so wait till you get a better answer. In coco you’re constantly adding nutes, soil can go flat. I should have read the thread from the beginning.

Literally just did this today (though my starter pots are a teeny bit smaller and not quite as deep as the solo cups). It was 15 days exactly from when the sprouts first broke the soil. I attempted to make a video about it so, if it turned out decent, maybe give that a watch if/when I post it (I haven't watched it yet so I have to see if I sound cool first.. 😎).
