Couple of questions please,

1st. I'm going to be starting a DWC System with Auto's .. I have 2" net pots ... are they big enough for Auto's, if not, what size should I use? Will be use 12/12 lighting to keep them small.

2nd. What nutrients should I used? (I'm looking to keep them small, like sog, but also looking for big buds) yes I want it all 😊

Thank you in advance for your experience and expertise 😊

@jbsnv, 4" nets work for my auto's in RDWC. Make sure to get a better quality one that has a larger light shield/band at the top of the pot. A good one will have a wider band around the top to help block light from getting in. This is very important. When your plants are small they don't have enough leaves to block the light from getting in through the net pots. This light leak will cause root rot with the young seedlings and can end your grow before it gets started. So a net pot with a good light blocking band is best. Then cover your net pots after the seedling has popped up, I use a paper plate that I split in half and notch it to cover things up. A thick plate works well, a thin one might allow a little light through.

The bigger the net pot the longer it takes the roots to find their way through. As soon as the roots find the water that's when they start growing. So try not to delay that.

I use General Hydroponics Flora Trio. I also use RO water so I have to use Silica- Armor Si along with Cal/mag cause my water doesn't contain any of these. Then I do use Rapidstart which is amino acid (i think) for the root, it's definitely promotes root growth. Lastly I add Hydroguard which is Beneficial bacteria that I have to use cause I do what called a "live grow".

There's a lot to learn about this stuff and I'm more than happy to help you. This can take a while to learn and then to actually implement what you've learned. But you can do it, I did!! LOL and still am!

Keeping Auto's small is something that I haven't tried to do in RDWC, but it's possible with training and pruning. Feel free to start a diary on building your system, that will give us a place to talk, and it will keep all your questions and answers together in one place. But feel free to ask any questions and I'll try to answer the best I can and if not I'll try to help you find the answer. Good luck man, welcome to the Club. 😎
