Normal plastic pot or fabric pot?
Hi guys. Iv been hearing good things about the fabric pots, allowing air to the roots... one of my friends has said they are very messy and avoids using them.
what would your guys thoughts be on this? I use living soil.
@dirteedank No mate, just water them properly lol. Pour the water in and let it soak into the medium and not spill down the sides.... maybe your friend was being to violent with the water stream lol. I pour about a litre into the pot, let it soak in whilst i pour a litre each into the others, then go round them all like that. Do that until the soil is well saturated but try not to get too much run off.
@dirteedank what Macky said. What I do, when the soil is too dry (and water starts running down the side, on the inside) is to use a water sprayer and slowly spray water on the very dry soil and after I've soaked the top soil good, I proceed to pour water. Also I make kind of a ditch or little trench around the stem between the plant and the border, so water will run down the middle and not the sides
