Questions Topping autoflowering and when?

I wait till there are 5 nodes and top at the third. You should be done with the topping before the end of week 4, sooner if you can as some autos like to flower early. If she’s showing pistils at all it’s too late. Once you do it a couple times it becomes second nature.

If it’s your first time maybe top one and not the other, at least you’ll have something to compare to. I got more off an untopped auto my first run than 1 I topped. Not exactly scientific but good training can yield well also.

Hi Greenlady, I top when the plant is health and growing well, no hiccups. If the plant isn't in the best health, it can slow it down or worst. But if the plant is health and growing as well as a little plant can, then do it! She probably, 8 out of 10 times, won't even Blink. She'll just take it in stride and keep on boogying. I wait till the fourth node has developed enough to slip my scissors in and remove the growing tip. I do wait for the fourth node to be big enough to be defined. 

Rufio is right, that topping doesn't mean a larger yield necessarily, but helps with height and training. So you don't have to cut a hole in your roof.

And as Monkey said, watch the timing. That's why I get on the fourth node kinda quickly. But as mentioned, Once you do it, it will become second nature. So be careful and don't get scissor happy, like some of us. (I topped my last auto 9 times, )

Thank you Monkeydo! I had read wait till there are five.  It's soooo scary to cut of their maiden heads!!😜 They're so pretty! Definitely not ready yet though!
