Evening gents,
First newbie question.
What are your thoughts on this (I know it's not natural) however, it seems a lot of people are saying they'll never go back to natural vegging hours...
Thanks guys

Well, we'll just see about that...😁

I use 24/7 for rooting clones
once rooted as with all veg I run 20/4 or 18/6 for bigger plants (as they use more space and therefore electricity !)
Not sure there’s evidence to show 24/7 produces quicker growth or larger yields. I know some auto growers use 24/7 but personally I think you may as well save 4hrs of £/$/ or € on electric.
The exception might be if your temps drop too much with your lights off and it costs the same to run a heater.
Also what is ‘natural vegging hours’? Surely that’s only achieved outdoors or in a greenhouse or does that mean 18/6 ?
What are you thinking of running Matthew? Autos or photos

Well with the seedlings the same as chillbert 6-8 days max , but some nagging feeling in my head won't let me do it much , possibly the old timers from druid land , kind of" put yourself in their shoes "if that makes sence ,and I may be so far wrong these days I don't know ,but im a nightmare if I don't sleep and the plant has things it only does in the dark I think
Sucking ⛽
I'm planning on photos, and thought that a 24/7 schedule would help the process on a little (but dont wont to stress them to much)
With so much information out there (having done loads of research) it's getting difficult to choose a schedule to start with, as they're so many.
My problem is, I dont want to start growing with a system, and half way through get distracted with things like this (if you know what I mean)
To be honest, I think I'm overthinking the whole process....lol

@matthew-elton you’re right there is so much info out there and easy to get distracted by minor details ...
Plants like consistency from the start so I’d keep it simple..
Tinkering with light timings is experimenting for little gain..
The big things are environment as in temps, humidity, light intensity, air circulation, irrigation and nutrition.. keep these dialled in and the plant will do the rest!!
Plants are used to having some rest, they can only grow so fast, and they already do grow very fast for a plant.. only so much juice you can get out of a lemon tree
Hope it help.. good luck bro
Time to pop some more beans 😗
Roger that...
Thanks mate
