Hi folks.

Just looking for information on what's wrong here!

I've got 3 plants into 4 week veg.

I'm feeding a quarter (0.25ml) of the recommended BioBizz Grow amount. (1ml) into every feed and I'm having to feed every 2 days about 2.5L for each plant.

It's only just started since I've went down with my nutes so surely it cant be nute burn! Or am I not giving enough nutrients?

I've took a few leaves off when I noticed it and I'm due to give them another feed soon so just wanting to make sure im giving them enough or too much?

20201015 115011
20201015 114932

These are 2 of the 3 that I took off yellowing leaves from this morning.

Here are the leaves I took off.

20201015 114239
20201015 114221
20201015 114233
20201015 114229

All the leaves have came from the base of the plants.

20201012 154837

I also included a photo of the base of the plant in soil just to see opinions.

Equipment used:

1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0m grow tent.

600w HPS dual spectrum bulb through a Black Orchid air cooled hood.

5inch carbon filter and 5 inch duct fan.

Using BioBizz All Mix soil and grow nutrients which are in 3 x 12L fabric pots.

Temps never above 28° when light on or below 20° when light off.

My humidity is a bit low around 45 - 50%. I've been trying to raise it without forking out for a humidifier by put washing in the room to add moisture to it which has helped but not enough.

Cheers for reading.

What somebody else is growing in soil under a 600w hps Thumbs Up

I thought I was the only one lol

The bottom leaves are not getting much light so they could start to redirect the food and shed some leaves, plant look great

you could up the feed a little if you want

I would worry too much about the humidty, 45 not too bad and as the plant grows the humidty will probably increase ( larger canopy)

Lol panic stations disengaged.

I've only added some BioBizz grow nutes mate and that's only been for about a week.

I used BioBizz root juice when they were seedlings but just normal phd water since really.

I'm due to flip to flower soon so want them as healthy as I can.

ph the water is great but it would be good to add cal/mag biobizz and the bottle of trace nutes too

flower I would just use all the same nutes as veg and add the flower nutes.

I would lst the canopy and pot them up in 20ltr pots

larger rootmass, larger crop, and  you could stress the plants out late in flower in the 12ltr pots

Been thinking about bigger pots the other day but is that not too late if I'm going to flip to flower?

They do look massive already I've never had so much growth with so little nutrients.

With nutes, can you add all nutes into the one feed? Like calmag, grow and TopMax at the same time.

The best time to pot the plants up is a week before flower.

you can add all the nutrients to every water but need to adjust the amount to keep the ec leve under 1.5 ( about 1.2 is best with heathy plants)

I would use the cal/mag one a week for the first 4 weeks in flower.

every 3rd water I would just use ph water to give the root mass a min flush

most new growers mess up because they water before the soil dry out or over feed the plants, to reduce the chance you should add 20% sand or perlite to the soil

keep the hps 18" above the canopy

One thing that has not been said yet that will help you in the long run, when your plant has a deficiency and starts to cannibalize a leaf, it is generally best to leave the damaged leaf on the plant until the plant is finished with it and naturally drops it off. Removing unsightly leaves only makes the plant go after another leaf to get what it desperately needs and you get even more bad leaves. Most growers won’t show you damaged leaves but it is a natural part of the grow and everyone gets some occasionally.

@new-at-this Have you read about using Mycorrhizal Fungi? I use them in my grow and am very happy with the results so far. I hope you can read this before transplanting, since that's the moment you need to initroduce them in the soil

Happy growing brother!

Hi all.

Just back from hydro shop.

Couldn't get 20L fabric pots so had to settle for 17L which is not exactly what I wanted but it's better than nothing.

This is them repotted into their new homes. Already u can see they have a lot more room than the 12l pots so will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of days.

I fed all 3 with 2L phd water each with .5ml of calmag and .5ml of biogrow.

 This is before:

20201016 125231
20201016 125440

This is after re potting.

20201016 131753
20201016 131725
20201016 125342

I'll keep a close eye on then over the next few days and hopefully I'll have some better pics to show you soon.

Youll need to flip them soon i think mate, adding 5l of soil isn't going to be enough really. The roots only have a little more space, so flip asap mate : )

It was meant to be today I flipped but was thinking of waiting a couple of days as I've just repotted them. Or would i be better flipping straight away? The lights on from 7am to 1am just now so could I give it it's full 18 hours today and switch to 12 - 12 for saturday?

Sorry for all the questions mate thought I'd have at least a few days before I flipped.

Sorry for all the questions mate

Dont apologise for asking questions mate, we encourage you to ask s many as you need to to make sure you know what youre doing.

Leaving it for a couple of days is a good idea. But as soon as you see the plants growing again, the transplant stress is over, and you should flip.

It's best to flip the plant a few days to a week after potting up, because the roots will keep growing for the next 2-3 weeks antil the buds start to grow.

The plants probably will not grow much over the next 4-5 days and when the soil drys out and you give them a drink they can grow 2-3" over night

when you water the plants, watch them and see what they do,  overtime you will know within 2 minutes if you have watered the plants too soon, some of the leaves  will twist in front of you

if you leave it a litte too long the leaves will be drooping down before wataring  and they all start to lift up within 10 minutes after watering

alway best to lift the pot of use a stick to see if the plants need to be watered

you can feel how wet the soil is with a thin long stick

Yeah I think I'm best waiting to see some growth before I flip.

I generally lift the pots as well to see how much they are needing.

I'm gonna start some lst tomorrow as well. I've topped them but nothing else since. I ended up buying some safety pins to put through the rim of the new pot in order to tie it down but ive not managed to get around to it yet.

safty pins sounds like a great idea

weed likes the soil really dry,  almost like a catus, if you can check on the plants 3 times a day, don't water the plants till the leaves start to drop and soil is bone dry as this will give you a really good understanding of how dry the soil needs to be and this will make the plant grow roots quick looking for water, it will not harm the plants as long as you can water when the leaves drop,

I actually love letting them dry out a bit then water them as you can see them essentially breathing in front of you. Just thinks it's cool lol.

I'm working from home just now so I have plenty of time to get them checked.

Mate your advice has been great honestly. I know in my head they look good  but it's good to get some validation from others who are more versed than me. So thanks very much.

your very welcome

I do remember back when I first started to grow and a few grow sites had been busted and getting caught ment jail time.

Things used to be hard, but now having a safe place online where you can upload pictures and help others to grow plants is amazing and I really enjoy helping growers like you.

Hi all.

Just wanted to give an update on my plants.

Just going to feed them soon but took a few pics first.

First plant:

20201018 111933
20201018 111143
20201018 111204

Bottom of the plant has a couple of yellowing leaves but generally looks healthy.

Second plant:

20201018 111248
20201018 111307
20201018 111315

A few leaves at the bottom are turning yellow but again to my eye it looks ok.

Third plant:

20201018 112014
20201018 111452
20201018 111445

The last plant is the one that has the most damage. The last picture shows part of the leave has turned brown and has went crisp.

I've left all the yellowing leaves on though. Checked to see if they need watering but they are ok just now so will water them later.

Am I wrong to be quite calm about them or have I nothing to worry about?

I know there is damage but it's all from bottom, no plant bugs or soil contamination affecting their growth.

Due to flip tomorrow so needs to be peak condition.

The leaves at the bottom look like theyre in the shade, in which case they will yellow/brown off as photosyntesis is not happening due to lack of light...chlorophyl will not be produced and the plants will consume the remaining...dont worry, its ok Smile
Top leaves are where the new growth is happening and they look fine

Yeah man I spotted it this morning but wasnt too worried about it.

The rest of the plant looks fine and I've noticed some growth so the transplant has been a success so think I'll flip tomorrow.

Thanks mate

Hi all. Me again lol.

Ik just wondering if anyone has any tips for flipping to flower?

I'm due to flip tomorrow but want them as peak as I can beforehand.

I've got some yellowing leaves like i said earlier. Am I better taking them off before I flip or does it not really matter?

What's everyone's thoughts on nutrients at this time too? Straight into using Bloom or keep using grow until the buds form? I've got Topmax too which I'm gonna use at the same time but not wanting to overkill them?

Due to start its 12 12 tomorrow at 7PM London time  so can prep it tomorrow.
