Whats wrong here?
Just looking for information on what's wrong here!
I've got 3 plants into 4 week veg.
I'm feeding a quarter (0.25ml) of the recommended BioBizz Grow amount. (1ml) into every feed and I'm having to feed every 2 days about 2.5L for each plant.
It's only just started since I've went down with my nutes so surely it cant be nute burn! Or am I not giving enough nutrients?
I've took a few leaves off when I noticed it and I'm due to give them another feed soon so just wanting to make sure im giving them enough or too much?
These are 2 of the 3 that I took off yellowing leaves from this morning.
Here are the leaves I took off.
All the leaves have came from the base of the plants.
I also included a photo of the base of the plant in soil just to see opinions.
1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0m grow tent.
600w HPS dual spectrum bulb through a Black Orchid air cooled hood.
5inch carbon filter and 5 inch duct fan.
Using BioBizz All Mix soil and grow nutrients which are in 3 x 12L fabric pots.
Temps never above 28° when light on or below 20° when light off.
My humidity is a bit low around 45 - 50%. I've been trying to raise it without forking out for a humidifier by put washing in the room to add moisture to it which has helped but not enough.
Cheers for reading.
think they are just old leaves pal , the rest of your girls look fine , the soil lads be on soon 😉
What somebody else is growing in soil under a 600w hps
I thought I was the only one lol
The bottom leaves are not getting much light so they could start to redirect the food and shed some leaves, plant look great
you could up the feed a little if you want
I would worry too much about the humidty, 45 not too bad and as the plant grows the humidty will probably increase ( larger canopy)
Have you added any graden lime to the soil ?
keeps the ph in range and adds cal/mag to the soil.
One thing that has not been said yet that will help you in the long run, when your plant has a deficiency and starts to cannibalize a leaf, it is generally best to leave the damaged leaf on the plant until the plant is finished with it and naturally drops it off. Removing unsightly leaves only makes the plant go after another leaf to get what it desperately needs and you get even more bad leaves. Most growers won’t show you damaged leaves but it is a natural part of the grow and everyone gets some occasionally.
Cheers for all your advice through this post and the others. If it wasnt for this forum I'd have ripped my hair out lol.
I'm going to buy some 20L pots tomorrow and pot them up and purchase some cal mag too.
No doubt ill be back on here for more hand holding lol
Heading off to pick up some fabric pots and some calmag for my plants.
Going to repot them when I get back so I'll put some pictures up of them repotted.
Super excited to see them in all their glory lol
Just back from hydro shop.
Couldn't get 20L fabric pots so had to settle for 17L which is not exactly what I wanted but it's better than nothing.
This is them repotted into their new homes. Already u can see they have a lot more room than the 12l pots so will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of days.
I fed all 3 with 2L phd water each with .5ml of calmag and .5ml of biogrow.
This is before:
This is after re potting.
I'll keep a close eye on then over the next few days and hopefully I'll have some better pics to show you soon.
Youll need to flip them soon i think mate, adding 5l of soil isn't going to be enough really. The roots only have a little more space, so flip asap mate : )
Sorry for all the questions mate
Dont apologise for asking questions mate, we encourage you to ask s many as you need to to make sure you know what youre doing.
Leaving it for a couple of days is a good idea. But as soon as you see the plants growing again, the transplant stress is over, and you should flip.
It's best to flip the plant a few days to a week after potting up, because the roots will keep growing for the next 2-3 weeks antil the buds start to grow.
The plants probably will not grow much over the next 4-5 days and when the soil drys out and you give them a drink they can grow 2-3" over night
when you water the plants, watch them and see what they do, overtime you will know within 2 minutes if you have watered the plants too soon, some of the leaves will twist in front of you
if you leave it a litte too long the leaves will be drooping down before wataring and they all start to lift up within 10 minutes after watering
alway best to lift the pot of use a stick to see if the plants need to be watered
you can feel how wet the soil is with a thin long stick
having a safe place online where you can upload pictures and help others to grow plants is amazing and I really enjoy helping growers like you.
This is exactly what Percy’s is all about. No attitudes (except good ones lol) and freedom to get help with fear of anything. That’s why I stayed and now help to build this bigger and better.
Just wanted to give an update on my plants.
Just going to feed them soon but took a few pics first.
Bottom of the plant has a couple of yellowing leaves but generally looks healthy.
A few leaves at the bottom are turning yellow but again to my eye it looks ok.
The last plant is the one that has the most damage. The last picture shows part of the leave has turned brown and has went crisp.
I've left all the yellowing leaves on though. Checked to see if they need watering but they are ok just now so will water them later.
Am I wrong to be quite calm about them or have I nothing to worry about?
I know there is damage but it's all from bottom, no plant bugs or soil contamination affecting their growth.
Due to flip tomorrow so needs to be peak condition.
The leaves at the bottom look like theyre in the shade, in which case they will yellow/brown off as photosyntesis is not happening due to lack of light...chlorophyl will not be produced and the plants will consume the remaining...dont worry, its ok
Top leaves are where the new growth is happening and they look fine
Hi all. Me again lol.
Ik just wondering if anyone has any tips for flipping to flower?
I'm due to flip tomorrow but want them as peak as I can beforehand.
I've got some yellowing leaves like i said earlier. Am I better taking them off before I flip or does it not really matter?
What's everyone's thoughts on nutrients at this time too? Straight into using Bloom or keep using grow until the buds form? I've got Topmax too which I'm gonna use at the same time but not wanting to overkill them?
Due to start its 12 12 tomorrow at 7PM London time so can prep it tomorrow.
