Some cannabis strains will flower under any light cycle. These plants are known as Autoflowering cannabis plants, or “Autos”.

When growing photoperiod cannabis plants, you need to change the light cycle to 12/12 to induce flowering. Auto flowering cannabis plants will flower, even if the plant is kept under 24 hours of light.

Autos will germinate, and then have a set amount of time before harvest, usually between ten and twelve weeks.

You can not take cuttings from an auto, and any stress given to the plant during the grow, will have an affect on its final yield.
