Hi all, I'm just getting round to listening to the news podcast from Sunday and I've paused it to come here. I don't think I could have put it any better than @billy420bonds (he hasn't finished his rant yet mind you 😂).
Cannabis absolutely should be the first thing offered to cancer patients. Even if it's given to help sleep alone that's massive(have a listen to Joe Rogan episode 1109 with Matthew Walker if you want to hear about the importance of sleep...it's an awesome episode!) ! It's my wife's saving grace at night now and it's absolutely transformed her sleep post treatment. But I definitely believe in the power in this plant on the whole, hell I even juice my fan leaves and freeze that juice in ice cube trays. Anytime anyone is having a juice or a smoothie this gets added. My joints feel 10 times better when I regularly take oil. But anyway, back to Cancer...
My wife was taking cannabis alongside traditional treatment and you're right Billy, knowing what I know now about chemotherapy, I agree it's a absolutely horrible drug. She went to a naturopath and was told exactly the same as Billy mentioned, these pharmaceuticals are all derived from plants...let's take it back to the plants. Her dad was a GP and told her exactly the same thing. Now I'm not saying don't take the traditional treatment, you need to do what's right for you, but please also go and see someone that knows about plants and they'll keep you right! Her guy requested in depth bloods every week and discussed them at every consultation.
I had my first MC appointment this week, much as it pains me to play along with this system...and the doctor had to tell me on the call that Cannabis has never been proven to help treat anything and has no evidence to suggest so. I'm sure that's just a check box exercise but Jeez -oh....is it medical or isn't it?
So this is exactly what seems to be happening with cannabis, exactly the same as the plants that went before it. Strip it apart for various compounds and patent that medicine, charging whatever the fuck you want for it.

@irishgrower420 You're so right. My mom passed in 2003 from metastized colon cancer. She had already gone through one chemo treatment course, which was very hard on her, and when they found it had come back, she refused to do it again, it was that bad for her.
How I wish I would've been able to help her with cannabis! I think things would have gone much differently...as in she may well have had more of a will to fight!
Lastly, again you're right...it's always about money and control. When it is near impossible to see the difference between big corporations and the govenment...there is a HUGE problem!

Big business and government are one and the same in the UK. I'm sorry about your mum, maybe sometime someone will read this thread after having a cancer diagnosis and decide to give it a shot 👍
