This has to make big tobacco and the alcohol industry nervous!!
In 2022, Colorado collected $353.7 million in marijuana tax dollars, a little more than cigarettes but seven times more than alcohol!
Washington State had $517 million in cannabis taxes, compared to about $490 million from alcohol and $380 from cigarettes!
Considering both cigarettes and alcohol can kill you, it's a good thing.
