...or more to the point, all seed banks list "Expected Yield" which I understand is dry/cured weight and is under the most ideal of conditions. However, the yield is based on one plant with no training what-so-ever, correct?

Generally it would come down to the data from testers with it averaged out to an "estimate" at best.... but you'll only hit those numbers if you are as dialed in as the testers are...unless you're a natural at growing you"ll never see the same numbers until you dial in your growing system which from personal experience will take a few seasons to refine

@improper_weed_viking OK, that makes sense and yes, I am well aware of how long it takes to get my system lined out. It would be quicker if the damn plants would cooperate and grow quicker. Damn inconsiderate of them if you ask me!

Honestly, I don’t pay too much attention to yield per plant, flower time, or potency.

they are usually embellished to sell.
grower reviews are your best real life indication as to what to expect, but take that with a grain of salt also. If there is a strain that intrigues you, grow it 😜😊

yield is based on one plant with no training what-so-ever, correct?

That's right mate. "Expected Yield," would be based on a plant grown in the best conditions, best light (I think it used to be based on 1000k HPS in a 1m square), best nuits, humidity, and temps, all that. A pretty much near perfect grow. But this is also a plant that is just grown, normally, no training, no long veg, no topping or anything like that. If you can do all of those things, and have a good grow, you should get decent yields but it depends on too much to give a precise measurement.

Just look for strains you like the taste of really. That's the best way to chose IMO. THC levels and yield, its all dependant on a lot to do with growing conditions and equipment. At least if you chose by taste, you get some idea of what you'll be getting Smile

And to add, in the days of HID lighting, we would say you should get 1g per watt. So a 600W HPS would get you 600 grams of dry cannabis if the growing conditions were good. But with the good LED nowadays, it can be anything up to and maybe even more than 2g per watt.

For me, ion my 1.2m x 1.2m tent. I would get an average of 23 ounces of cannabis from each grow. maybe a little more if I added the popcorn n shit. Anything lower than 18 I would be a little disappointed about, anything over 25 and im like "fuck yer"!!

.... hope this long ass answer helps lol

@improper_weed_viking I got 8 oz plus 1 of fluff from a single godfather OG plant, which seems close to max for indoor plant yield.

@macky Thanks man. I'm basically trying to set myself "achievable goals" and at this point if I manage half of what they claim I'll be walking on sunshine. 😋

What I'm after, in part, is to stock up my jars so I don't have to be chasing supply and try some of these other cool things, like bonsai, etc. But I have to get the stash cupboard stocked first lest I stress over having to give my money to someone else instead of investing in myself. 😊
