Hey all,

I am growing in coco for the first time. I have like 10 clones in coco that are doing fantastic but I have one Banners Widow seedling that I started in the same coco and is hurting all of a sudden. I water them all everyday with the same nutrient mix. All of them are getting an EC of about 600-700 and the runoff is about 900.

I wanted to get an opinion on what I am doing incorrectly on this 3 week old seedling. Thanks

Looks like root trouble. For the immediate future I'd let her dry out a bit and reduce the feed level to 350-500 EC till she recovers. Maybe back off to every other day watering for a while.

You also mentioned, Qty = 4, 150watt Led's for illumination

If that's the actual wattage, it's too much at this stage of growth, but it could just be the way its labeled. Because lights are marked differently, I go by PAR level and for that size plant, 350 PAR would be good.

@monkeydo sorry, I really should have been more clear about the lighting. It is under those lights but they raised for my older plants and has been getting around 300 in the PAR

But I’ll def look at the roots there. I had noticed some green stuff growing in the soil near the rim of the container. Could be related

You can kinda see the green on the coco surface

Thats algae from staying wet and being so nutrient rich. I've had it a few times too. Maybe drop your watering to every other day since she's so small and see how it goes. She's not needing much at this stage of life.

I’ll chime in 🤔

I kinda agree with @monkeydo, but to me it looks like it is because of over watering 🤔

I also agree with dropping the feeding.
I would be around 200 ppm for my clones. When I clone I only water with tap water till I get roots. I will say that my tap water doesn’t get treated so has a lot of minerals in it.
after I see roots, I start to feed at around 200.

keep growing! You will get it man!

Sorry to add to the bells, but this is the kind of stoned responses you can get from me. "Overwatering" and "coco" don't go together in my pea brain, so the other thought that popped into my head besides fill another bag was, has anyone asked about air movement? My first coco grow I had a TON of algae and Macky said to direct air flow onto the pots themselves.

What do you have in the way of fans?

@lousytourist I’m working in tent now and looked over at her, I have been keeping her under the fan (out of the direct air movement). So it’s probably a collaboration of everyone’s recommendations

I’ll improve her air flow and scratch up the surface of the coco for now she’s coming due for a flush so I’ll reassess the EC level in a few days if there isn’t an improvement

I appreciate all the suggestions from all. This is my first hiccup learning on coco
