Hi all,
I was hoping to get some advice on a decent mechanical humidifier with a 4l or more water tank. I want to hook it up to a timer, so I'm trying to find a unit that is turned on using a dial, rather than one that needs to be turned on at the unit after the mains power supply has been turned on.
I remember seeing a black one on someone's forum a while back, century was the brand I think, but I can't seem to find it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I have a cheap vicks, yep the kids medicine vicks. It’s actually for steaming kids rooms but does the job. Anything with a mechanical switch will do your job really.
look into inkbird humidity controller, might work better than the timer and they’re not very expensive

This is the only pic I got. But important, it's black. It also has just a simple twist knob for on/off and mist level. It does work on an Inkbird 24/7. and it 4L. Don't get a clear one, and you should only use distilled/RO water or you'll have white dusk shit covering everything. That all I got, hope it helps man. peace
@woodi2 I'm slowly moving towards automation, the ink bird is next on the list.
I've been using the Taotronics humidifier with tap water and I've been scratching my head wondering why my carbon pre filter keeps getting covered in a fine white dust, problem solved, nice one bruva 👊
I bought the 5l ram one that @zn had recommended. I highly recommend too my 5l last just over 24 hours which suits me my humidity wasn't that low to begin with anyways it just tops it up. The 13l one would have been a better purchase for what you've just mentioned about leaving the house for more then 24 hours lol
